Known for a reputation of versatility and reliability, the 522nd Airlift Squadron “Pegasus” has made a name in the Airlift community. From Disaster relief in the 1980s to combat logistics during the Belkan war, there was never a challenge Pegasus failed to meet.

In 2000, in the aftermath of the Ulysses Disaster, Pegasus played a pivotal role in logistical support, ensuring a steady flow of resources to front-line units. The squadron's adaptability and efficiency in high-stakes scenarios earned them the Air Defense Force Outstanding Unit Award. Their contributions to the conflict underscored the critical role of airlift capabilities in modern warfare.

Today, Pegasus remains a symbol of Stratus's commitment to peace, humanitarian efforts, and military readiness. With a legacy spanning decades, Pegasus stands as a testament to the OADF’s dedication to service, and the squadron continues to soar into the future, ready to meet the challenges of an ever-changing world.
