F-14A VF-31 Wolfpack 1986, USS Forrestal

Accurate colors, updated roughmets, labels and stencils.

This mission uses the F-14's LANTIRN pod and is on a hot takeoff on the Forrestal since carrier launches no longer work with a cold cockpit. The mission briefing explains how to request targets through the F10 menu. Mission time is about 2 hours. I made this mission for myself to practice long range strikes using the LANTIRN pod. There are 8 randomized ground targets. Targets are given in LAT/LONG format and displayed on the F10 map. This mission was formally set at night but has been altered to day due to poor performance and lighting. Targets have been added to the F10 map because the LAT/LONG in the mission editor is incorrect and inconsistent to the in game map. Jester's LAT/LONG waypoint entry no longer appears to be functioning either

It is a basic livery for the Forrestal, brightening lots of the deck markings, changing the Island to gray, and adding some Canadian touches to the Default Heatblur USS Forrestal.

In an alternate world under a lease agreement with the US Navy, Canada would once again have an aircraft carrier. With a strained budget, a single Forrestal-Class aircraft carrier was chosen. Not long after, the vessel was commissioned into the Canadian Armed Forces as HMCS Forrestal (CV-59).

RCN/CAF Fictional CF-144 Livery V1.1 (17/03/2024)

This is a fictional livery based off the Royal Navy F-4’s as the basis of a what-if the Royal Canadian Navy had the funds for a new carrier and F-14’s.

There are two liveries provided.
    146 – in VF-871 colours, it is inspired by the US Navy and old RCN liveries, this is what it may have looked like before the unification of the Canadian Armed Forces.
    334 – In VF-870 colours, this is a more realistic interpretation of what a naval version of a CF-144 may have looked like in the 80s. Though colour markings are bars instead of triangles as it was difficult to make it fit the shape of the rudder.

V1.0 - Royal Canadian Navy 805 based off the Sikorsky CH-148 Cyclone currently in service with RCN.

This is a Vietnam-themed experience in which you must progress through three zones, capturing them with ground forces both provided to you, and airlifted in by player controlled helicopters.

Includes versions of the mission with and without the Community A-4E Mod - strongly recommended!

Includes slots for the A-4E, F-5E, F-14A, F-86F, and UH-1H, plus seats for Combined Arms players.
