I thought it would be nice to make a helmet for our favorite dumb@ss. Loosely based off of LCDR Heatherly's helmet from Top Gun, this helmet features the classic star pattern but adapted to a realistic tape scheme to kinda fit the US Navy's standards after about the early/mid 1980s. Feel free to slap this helmet in any of your RIO seats. That being said, please download from here, instead of handing it out to your friends. Thanks!

Relics of a bygone era, the 582nd ‘Star Killers’ are the last vestiges of both an antiquated Mission and aircraft. Dating back to the war in Clavis, Osea's ‘Wild Weasel III’ program saw use of the F-4C in the SAM Hunting role to inconsistent success. With knowledge learned sent towards the up and coming Wild Weasel IV, better known as the purpose built F-4G. However due to logistics and training bottlenecks, the OADF required a more advanced SEAD Aircraft to take the role. The F-4CJ, with more advanced avionics and a larger engine was quickly rolled out as a stop gap.

Following the war, most Wild Weasel squadrons transferred their CJs into Air National Guard service, with the exception of the Star Killers. This is my IAF 69 Squadron Skin for VSN's F-4B.

Two Skins types included, the lighter camo and the darker camo variants; you get eight all together.

This is a relatively faithful recreation of F-4D Serial 66-7551 around 1987. Sporting the Hills II scheme, this Phantom based out of Homestead, FL had a relatively quiet life as far as public records show. It served its country well, and for a long time, which ended up in it becoming part of the Air Force Reserve (AFRES). It was during its last years of service that it got painted in the two-tone "Hills II" gray pattern.

These words are written above the doorway leading into the Naval Air Combat Weapons School, colloquially known as Fighter Weapons School, by the students and cadre who attend. Students come to NAS Mesa Verde four times a year and spend eight weeks being taught by some of the best tactics instructors in the Emmerian Military. Pilots learn both in the classroom and in the cockpit how to counter the various threats that the Emmerian military may face in the near and far future, and will go back to their own squadrons as in house instructors to teach the skills they have honed.
