On September 30, 2015, Syrian security forces only had 10 percent of the country under their control, while terror reigned in the rest of the country. After several requests for assistance from the Syrian President, the Russian Federation Council has authorized the Russian President to send a contingent to Syria.
You, as a Su-25 pilot, will be part of the contingent and fly special operations to restore order in Syria.

Updated Version 1.3: Russia has built up an expeditionary Integrated Air Defense System (IADS) in Syria. Russia intends to use this IADS to push the potential cost of continued US coalition involvement in Syria past the threshold of acceptable risk. On 03 OCT the Russian military deployed the S-300 (NATO reporting name: SA-23) air defence system to the Syrian naval base in Tartus. Russian forces already operate the S-400 (NATO reporting name SA-21 Growler) long-range air defence system, which has a claimed range of 400km, as well as the S-200 (SA-5 Gammon), in Syria. Russia also operates a number of short-range air defence systems, including the Pantsir-S1 and Buk missile systems, as well as the naval version of the S-300 a Slava-class guided missile cruiser in the Mediterranean. In addition to the IADS, Syrian forces operate the Bastion coastal defence system out of Tartus.

After half a year of defending RAF bases on Malta, an attack on Luftwaffe Bases on Sicily was flown by the Malta-based RAF Spitfires on 4 September 1942. The RAF attack came in three elements at three bases. The plan was to alert the Germans of their presence with fast low passes and then wait for the Luftwaffe aircraft to take off and climb away from the heavy AAA at their airfields. In all three raids, a total of 22 enemy aircraft were shot down that day by the Spitfires.

You are the flight leader flying Spitfires from Malta to the Luftwaffe base at Comiso (see pictures). Guns, Guns, Guns!
