( I already uploaded this mission, divided in two parts for a more convenient gaming experience, due to its length. Nevertheless, for those who may want to go the entire journey in one step: here is the original complete mission in one piece without a break. )

Fräulein Major is dead! In the aftermath of the „Secret NSA Mission“ she was brutally assassinated by a vengeful GRU killer commando.

At the same time a top secret A-10 of the british intelligence service MI6 was shot down over Iran and brought to Russia for deep investigations. No question this has to be prevented! And so Special Agent - living retired from service in Normandy - is reactivated by the MI6 to infiltrate Russia, steal the A-10 and take revenge for the insidious murder of Fräulein Major.

But once again the true intentions behind this operation are of a far bigger scale than initially reported - and what starts as a quick n’ sneaky airplane theft turns into a world threatening rampage of unimaginable dimensions.

( Have you ever asked yourself WHY Eagle Dynamics integrated cows into a flight sim? Well, the explanation is as simple as frightful - - and this mission will bring you the disturbing answer. )

This is the singleplayer, Growling Sidewinder remake of the Operation Ilois multiplayer mission, which can be found at https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3342387/.

Operation Ilois was a secret, off-the-books, Special Boat Service mission to capture four Taliban commanders in the Lower Sangin Valley in Helmand Province in 2006. The mission was a failure and the SBS convoy was ambushed by 70+ fighters on its return leg. Out in the open with only irrigation ditches for cover, the SBS and Special Recon Regiment fought for over an hour while a make-shift Quick Reaction Force was dispatched from Gereshk some 10 miles south of them. Nearby air assets - namely British Harriers and American A-10s - were re-tasked to provide Close Air Support.

Operation Broadsword Campaign - Mission 01
Training in Russia

The Luftwaffe Fighter-bomber Wing 32 was planned to be disbanded in 2013. However, they received 6 old A-10A fighter-bombers to replace the damaged Tornados. Therefore, slightly modified as Wing 33, it is still in service. The regiment participated in several SEAD, DEAD and CAS missions in the Middle East. Since then the Warthogs have relocated their base to Incrilik Turkish military base. The unit was named Fog and Lukas Weber "Rad" (3323) is the unit commander.

In the last days of the exercise, they conducted a joint training mission with a pair of Su-25 (Razor-1) fighter-bombers. The aim of the exercise is to perform coordinated attacks against soft and armoured targets. At the rendezvous point, you will assemble (WYP 2) and then fly to the firing range (WYP 3-5). Here, you will follow the overlord's instructions and strike at containers simulating soft targets. Red targets for the Germans, green for the Russians. After

Day 45 of Operation.
The capture of Senaki airfield was a major success of this combined operation. However, the Russians could not be pushed out of the city. Based on satellite imagery, they launched a counterattack in the early hours of the night. The northern flank would try to reach the city by avoiding the mountain, while the southern flank would approach the city along the river.

This is a follow-up mission for pursued-by-bad-luck Special Agent after the incidents of the „Secret FBI Mission“ - - because NORMANDY 2.0 is just too beautiful not to create a mission :-)

After his nocturnal amok run over Nevada, Special Agent took finally his flight to Paris, to leave behind the exhausting life of semi-legal secret operations. But alas, something went wrong and his flight was diverted to Tangmere, Great Britain. Luckily, an old school friend fr om his childhood days in France - Pierrot le fou, who now is in the French intelligence agency DGSE - offers him the possibility to transfer an old A-10 of the French Air Force to a small airfield in Normandy, wh ere a helicopter waits to take him to his parent’s cottage.

Of course Special Agent wouldn’t be Special Agent, if everything goes as planned, and so he head over heels gets involved in an undercover operation of his former school comrade with a crazy terrorist bunch, that wants to blow up beautiful Tour Eiffel :o(

Another mission of me trying to tribute my favourite game of all times: Ace Combat 5.

This mission takes place immediately after mission 18.
On their way back from Cruik Fortress, the Wardog rendezvous with an allied escort, which turns out to be the 8492nd Squadron. The 8492nd opens fire on Wardog, and the latter successfully escapes and races for Sand Island to report the incident.

Another mission of me trying to tribute my favourite game of all times: Ace Combat 5.

The Osean Army's assault on the Yuktobanian capital Cinigrad has been stalled by the impregnable Cruik Fortress for five days. With multiple heavy fire support bunkers, control towers, and an aircraft runway, the fortress has repelled two attempts to break through. Despite Wardog's weakened state, they are sent to provide close air support and guidance. Wardog engages in a battle with some aces in the Yuktobanian Air Force, and guides the armed forces through the fortress to completely pass right through, opening the way to the capital.

After a long time hiatus due to the absence of free time, I can now return to make more missions of my project to tribute my favourite game of all times: Ace Combat 5!

Background of the mission:
The Osean Army prepares an amphibious landing operation on the Yuktobanian mainland near Bastok Peninsula. The peninsula is heavily fortified and the Wardog Squadron is called upon to provide close air support, as the Oseans capture the fortress, mainly to render the bunkers in the area useless with cooperation with the ground forces.
