As the war rages on in Lebanon, the United States Navy deployed the Roosevelt Carrier Battle Group to support the UN peacekeeping operations in Lebanon. REQUIREMENTS: Syria Map, F-14 Tomcat, Supercarrier
--- MISSION
Recon flight in the Bekaa Valley to photograph a Syrian artillery base.
--- NOTES
The Syrians have moved in a few Grad rocket launchers in the Bekaa Valley to shoot into Beirut.
Command wants these Grads dead, so you will be flying a solo recon flight to take some TARPS photos of the enemy units, then we will launch a flight of Hornets to take them out.
Keep your altitude below the cloud layer in the target area, so we can have some good quality images of the enemy base.
As soon as you got the Grads. Return to the carrier ASAP.
Wizard 6 on 264.000 MHz will be your C2 asset and provide early warning coverage.
Two F-14s, call sign Colt1 will provide CAP between Tripoli and Naqoura.
Bloodhound 4 will also conduct an ASW patrol along the cost.
We are not expecting enemy fighters in the AO, but SA-2 and SA-3 SAMs are active all along the Syrian coast, and SA-6s might be present along the border in the Bekaa Valley.
