This is an adaptation of the RNLAF F-16A block 15 J-058 from 311 sqn "Aquila" (eagle).
painted in a special scheme in commemoration of the 45th anniversary of the squadron (may 1996) it also features fuel tanks with the dutch airforce motto at the time "air power".
The squadron started operating f16's out of Volkel AFB on april 1982, became the first RNLAF sqn to support laser guided bombs and later in 2001 post the MLU upgrade, reconnaissance became the main role of the squadron.
the squadron participated in numerous operations, starting with operation "deny flight" (April 12th, 1993 to December 20th, 1995) in former Yugoslavia and ending with support of nato forces in Afghanistan during May 21st, 2011 to September 20th, 2011.
upon return the squadron was disbanded due to budget and reduction of the f16 fleet in the RLNAF.
this is another collaboration between myself and "roughmaster".
with lots of new additions to the base textures and our own improved textures.
all made as close to reality as possible using as many reference photos i could find ( this livery only had 3 :) )
features include :

- new pilot textures, including new right foot kneeboard, with normals and roughness maps.
- new helmet and mask textures.
- accurate patches with normal maps and roughness maps.
- new custom and highly detailed fuel tank textures ( both 300 and 370 ) with a unique graffiti on the 370 gal tank.
- external cockpit textures with the squadron color, red and white checkers texture on the over icp stripe.
- internal cockpit textures with the same squadron color, red and white checkers texture on the over icp stripe, visable from inside the office :) )
- missing EPU fire indicator window ( located above the EPU safing pin ) with roughmets and normals.
- missing Accessory drive gearbox ac generator panel.
- missing Engine oil sight gauge panel.
- missing rivets and panels between the ventral fins with normals made by "roughmaster".
- new nozzle with roughmets and normals, using "roughmaster"s modified engine textures .
- over 120 labels, accurately placed in their correct places
- 521 panel number labels. individually placed in their correct real life places.
- high quality weathering, roughmets and normals rework.

AFTER EXTRACTING THE RAR. PLACE THE “RNLAF 311 sqn 45 years”
FOLDER IN YOUR “\DCS World\CoreMods\aircraft\F-16C\Liveries\F-16C_50” FOLDER.

For golden back canopy :

go to your settings > special > choose f16 > tinted canopy.
and make sure its enabled, otherwise it wont appear.
