This is my recreation of the flagship of the 4th FW as painted in may 2023 for Wingsd Over Wayne airshow.
The flagship jet features a portrait of Donald Blakeslee to honor an important member of the 4th Fighter Wings heritage and a WW2 Ace.
The 4th FW and 333rd, 334th, 335th and 336th Fighter Squadrons’ painted their F-15E Strike Eagle flagships to commemorate the wing’s heritage and celebrate the men and women who have paved the way for the wing. The history started with the Eagle Squadrons from the Royal Air Force, developed under leaders like Col. Don Blakeslee pictured on the wing flagship, who excelled as the first of many who helped the wing transition through numerous titles before becoming the 4th FW as we know it today.
I have recreated all of the artwork on this from scratch so it matches the the correct resolution of the main texturew files, it also has new RoughMets for the new paint as well. I will likely update it if i can get the names of the crew that are painted on the nosegear door. This part is missing - i wont add just half of the names.
