This F-16C mission is the second in a Mini campaign for the South Atlantic Map. It is a complete work of fiction made initially as a scenic low level flight. This mission offers a bit more of a challenge in the target area, but still very survivable. It takes about 30 minutes to complete the mission.

Mission Brief:
After our initial recon efforts, verifying Red intruders into the Blue zone, we are planning an airbase strike on El Calafate. Be for we execute that attack, we will first try to reduce the Red air defense forces.
You are tasked with a low level ingress to attack a SAM sight to the west of El Calafate. Recon shows an SA-10 and an SA-6 sight -- take a look at the recon photos and study your targets.
Up until now we've been flying high enough to be clearly seen by Red search radars. We may get surprise on them if you can stay low on your route. Your route will turn north at the mouth of the Serrano River near waypoint 1. The land rises as you get further north, so there may be a little wiggle room down south. But as you get closer to the target you will need to be at treetop level. With the other operations attacking SAM sites further east and a little luck, you may get in unnoticed. We've mapped a low level route through some of the river valleys. It's not an exact route and you will need to use your own judgment. After waypoint 9, you'll be exposed briefly before your attack run. There's nothing to do about it but stay on course. You'll be attacking from the southwest up over the mountain range. Once you're exposed, you have time for one pass to get your bombs off.
Egress west, then RTB. Don't loiter. They'll probably send up fighters from El Calafate, to the east of the target area as soon as you're detected.

It's Best to set your waypoints to auto-increment.
When you're down low and fast, you'll want your hands
on the stick and eyes outside as much as possible.
You're loaded with CBUs, So, you should be familiar with
their use, if you want to succeed in the mission.
Stay as low as possible all the way to the IP.
Stay masked in the valley leaving the IP to the PUP, but
you don't need to be hugging the tree tops.
At the pup, gain some altitude as you roll in on
the target. You have about 10 seconds to get your weapons off. If you mess something up, don't try to go back.
At this point you need to egress as fast as possible.
Jettison anything you've got left, pop countermeasures and
burn to get behind the mountain at the next waypoint.
