SP/MP COOP Invasion of Southern Iran - Multi-Role - Persian Gulf Map

Description Update 04/06/2024.

All enemy kills recorded in the Logbook.

Northern Iranian leaders have reached an impasse w/SPP leaders in the South.   To avoid an armed conflict with the West & UAE, Northern leaders provided intel on all SPP positions in the South and have given us the green light to enter Iranian airspace to neutralize them.

NATO, Emirati & Israeli forces are gearing up to launch attacks on Qeshm Island from Al Minhad AFB, Sharjah Intl, & the US Fleet in the Persian Gulf.

************************************************** - Completion Time: 1.5+ Hours - Complete Enemy Destruction: 4+ Hours.

The mission can be completed using any jet or helicopter. The following aircraft are selectable during the mission: A-10C II, AV-8B, F-14A, F-14B, F-15E SE4+, F-16C, F/A-18C, JF-17, Su-25T, Su-33, Su-34, AH-64D, Ka-50 III, Mi-24P.

Used M.O.O.S.E. to spawn allied units.

Note: You only need to complete one of the below missions for success...but you can complete all of them if you choose.

I---MISSION - NEUTRALIZE LR SAMs DEFENDING QESHM ISLAND (WPTs 2-5)

- 2 x SA-10 SAM Sites
- 3 x SA-2 SAM Sites
- 4 x SA-11 SAM Sites
- 8 x SA-6 SAM Sites

II---MISSION - DISRUPT ENEMY COMMUNICATIONS---
Destroy the Command Buildings @:

WPT 2 - Qeshm Island
     - 4 x Radio Towers @ the airfield
     - 8 x Radio Towers around the island marked w/black smoke from failed cruise missiles strikes.

III---MISSION - SECURE PRIMARY ENEMY AIRFIELDS---

Clear the following airfields of enemy forces so Spec Ops can move in and secure them:

Qeshm Island (WPT 2)
Bandar Abbas Intl (WPT 3)
Havadarya (WPT 4)
Bandar Lengeh (WPT 5)

IV---MISSION - CLEAR QESHM ISLAND (WPT 2)---

Eliminate all SPP ground forces on the island.

V---MISSION - DESTROY IRANIAN WARSHIPS---

Eliminate 5 x warships departing Lavan Island (WPT 7) heading towards Qeshm Island (WPT 2)

VI---MISSION - AIR SUPERIORITY---

Provide CAP over Qeshm Island until all enemy aircraft are destroyed.

Beware of the elaborate SAM network around the island.

***NOTES***

- All enemy kills will be recorded in your Logbook as long as you avoid committing fratricide.

- All AI skills are randomized.

- The mission is a success when you hear music followed by one of many possible MISSION COMPLETE messages.

- The intro music can be replayed at any time during the mission using the F10 Radio menu option.  Best used for dramatic takeoffs.

- You can refuel, rearm & repair closer to the action at Tunb Island AFB (WPT 1) or Khasab (Northernmost tip of the Arabian Peninsula).

- For help w/troublesome enemy fighters, fall back to the cover of air defenses between Tunb Island & Khasab.

- AWACS & Tankers will move closer to the front after certain locations are cleared.

- Wanted to give credit to all who make it possible for us to enjoy this simulator

***MINOR UPDATE - 04/04/2024.***
- Changed carrier frequencies to ones that work

***UPDATE - 02/27/2024***
- Modified enemy fighters to not engage helicopters (the AI was prioritizing engaging player helicopters over fighters)
-  Allied helicopters now only face danger from ground & sea units

***UPDATE - 02/26/2024***
- Modified AI WPT properties, so they'll clear objectives in order
- Modified AWACS & Tanker waypoints to racetrack & increased speed to make it easier to AA refuel
- Added CAP flight 2*F-15E's
- Moved AI AV-8B's to Al Minhad AFB as they wouldn't land on the Tarawa
- Shortened carrier racetrack
- Deleted some units to improve performance

Known Issue: Landing @ Khasab may cause AI A-10C II's to spawn endlessly

***UPDATE - 10/19/2023***
- Corrected initial player spawns on carriers
- Changed AI carrier aircraft spawns from catapults to parking

- Corrected TACAN assignments
