TOPGUN Scooters, a pack representing various A-4s flown at the school from the mid 80s to the mid 90s prior to relocating to Fallon. Really enjoyed working on these - perhaps some NFWS F-5s and more Scooters on the way! BuNos included in the pack listed below:
TOPGUN 550 - A-4M BuNo 160045
TOPGUN 554 - A-4E "TOPGUN's oldest A-4 is BuNo 149656, which back in 1974 was the mount of Lt Randy 'Duke' Cunningham, Flying F-4Js, he and his RIO Lt JG Willie 'Irish' Driscoll were the only navy aces of the Vietnam War. Both Cunningham and Driscoll attended the first TOPGUN class in March 1969 and returned as instructors after their tours in Vietnam. This green scheme has been worn by a TOPGUN A-4 for ten years." Aggressor Aircraft, Chuck Stewart. This airframe is currently on display hanging from the ceiling of the Naval Aviation Museum in Pensacola, Florida, in the colors of VA-163.
TOPGUN 556 - A-4E "After going through six color schemes since it first joined TOPGUN in 1974, BuNo 150023 now wears this common blue/grey camouflage. The school's second oldest A-4, it is a battle-damaged Vietnam veteran - but it's still able to teach a rookie F-14 jock a thing or two in a dogfight." Aggressor Aircraft, Chuck Stewart
