Before becoming a mercenary, Sarkar served as a naval aviator in the Indus Republic Navy, where he first saw combat during the 1977-1978
Indus-Vedian War. Though he had performed admirably during the conflict, the war would end inconclusively, leaving Sarkar questioning his
government's reason for wasting so many lives on such a pointless conflict. By 1984 he had grown dissatisfied with Naval service and began  
weighing his options, and while looking into other aviation-related work he would stumble on several news articles on mercenary pilots during
the civil war in The Republic of Romney. In 1985 he would resign fr om the navy and signed on with the foreign mercenary forces later that year.

Sarkar would spend the rest of the 1980s and early 1990s working around the Sotoa Nations, participating in the numerous small conflicts and
border skirmishes that plague the region. Towards the end of 1993, he would take some time off, living off his earning, but by late 1994 Sarkar
began looking for work one more. He would later be contacted by representatives of the Republic of Ustio, who was looking to hire mercenaries
to help bolster their Air Force following several border skirmishes with their neighbor Belka. After a brief contract negotiation, Sarkar would
find himself bound for Ustio under new employment.

Due to his experience, Sarkar was assigned to lead the newly formed 29th Air Force Unit (Phipthere). He would spend the next few months patrolling
the border area as well as getting acquainted and bonding with his new teammates. On March 25th, 1995, open conflict would commence as Belka
began invading its neighbors. Sarkar and his team would be thrown into the action, assisting with attacking hostile ground forces as they drove
deeper into Ustio. After the Lose of Bozdar Air Base and the Fall of the Capital, Phipthere team along with the other mercenary units were
relocated to Valais Air Base. The next couple of weeks consisted of mainly raids on enemy frontline positions and patrolling the airspace around
Valais to ward off any attacks.

Following the start of Offensive Operation no.4101, Sarkar and the rest of the 29th AFU would join the rest of the 6th Air Division in aiding the Allied
forces in their drive to push back the Belkan front line. From the initial counterattack at the Futuro Canal to the liberation of the capital
to the push into southern Belka, the flight only suffered one casualty along the way. After the cessation of hostilities in early June Sarkar's
flight would suffer another loss when the flights number 4, Lt. Gonsalves went missing while on a maintenance check flight. Sarkar and his wingman
would spend several days looking for their friend but turn up nothing. Towards the end of the month what remained of Phipthere team would be
deployed to take part in the Secret post-cease-fire Operation Broom, though further information on this mission appears to have been redacted.

By August of 1995 with the fighting now over, The Ustian government began offering the options for Pilots to buy out their contracts and leave
early rather than wait for the termination date at the end of the year. Sarkar and his wingman Lt. Gorgelji would opt to stay, though not as
profitable as combat operations the post-war patrols were a nice respite from the hard campaigning of the last several months. On December 25,
the paramilitary terrorist organization, A World With No Boundaries would attack Valais Air Base with the hijacked XB-0 Hresvelgr. During the
attack Sarkar would make it to his aircraft, though as he was about to start taxiing he was killed when his aircraft was bombed by one of the
Hresvelgr's escorts, a hostile Mirage F1 bearing the numbers 024 and a crossed-out Phipthere on its tail.

Hailing from the Khanate of Valga in southern Verusa, not much information on Lt. Gorgelji before her involvement in The Belkan War is known
besides scant records on her previous employment flying for the Republic of Valverde from 1991-1993, mainly conducting Counter-Guerrilla
operation for the local government. In late 1994 she would be approached by representatives of the government of Ustio who were looking to hire
mercenaries to help strengthen their Air Force. Originally she declined the offer, preferring more low-intensity conflict compared to the apparent
shit storm beginning to form around Belka. However, with nothing else really available and most of the world's eye fixed on the ever-escalating
tensions on the Osean Continent, Gorgelji would reluctantly change her mind and soon find herself arriving in Ustio.

Even though Gorgelji was considered an experienced aviator she was not as well versed in the art of air-to-air combat, as most of her mercenary
career up to this point has been in a counter-insurgency role against hostiles with a lower technological base. She would be assigned to the
29th Air Force Unit under Captain Vaibhav Sarkar, he along with the other members of the team would help get Gorgelji up to speed on her air
combat skills. In late February of 1995, Gorgelji would score her first kill of the conflict during one of the numerous pre-war border skirmishes,
downing an enemy F-4F though due to the sensitive nature of events prior to the conflict, it could not be officially recognized, unofficially there
was most likely a complimentary pat on the back followed by the issuing of a cold beer later that day.

On March 25th, 1995, Belka would commence its invasion of Ustio, Gorgelji and the rest of the 29th AFU would be deployed to the front lines, attacking
advancing Belkan armored columns and providing Combat air patrol to cover retreating Ustian units. By the start of April the Ustian Capital of
Directus as well as Ustios primary Air Force installations at Bozdar had fallen, due to this, Gorgelji and her team would now be operating from Valais
Air Base. The following weeks would consist of mainly driving back enemy bomber raids and striking ground targets along the frontlines.

Towards the end of April the Allied forces would launch Offensive Operation no.4101, Gorgelji and the rest of the Mercenaries would be at the forefront.
Over the Futuro Canal, she would distinguish herself for knocking out an enemy Aegis Cruisers, all while keeping her cool even after witnessing one
of her teammate's aircraft detonate next to her. After the Liberation of Ustio in mid-May Gorgelji and the others would participate in the invasion of
Southern Belka, from the nightmare of Operation Hell Bound to nearly being shot down by Excalibur during Operation Dynamo, and the intense melee
of Area B7R to the final Secret operation over Anfang. From start to end, she saw it all and somehow survived.

After the end of the combat operation at the end of June things quickly died down. Rather than buying out and leaving early, she chose to stay till the
end of the year with her flight lead as the post-war patrol was easy money, though they did not pay as well. As the months passed by nothing much
occurred for Gorgelji and the rest of the mercenaries at Valais Air Base. As the holiday season started many began planning for the start of the
new year when their contracts would end leaving them out of work. Unfortunately many would get to see this as on Christmas day 1995 Valais Air Base
was attacked by the organization A World With No Boundaries and their XB-0 Heavy command cruiser. Dodging gunfire and bombs Gorgelji and her flight
lead rushed to their fighters to hopefully get airborne and defend what they could. She arrived at her Mirage intact but as her engine finished
spooling up, one of the enemy fighter escorts would drop a pair of M-117 bombs on their position. Gorgelji would initially survive the blast but
succumbed to her wounds later that day.

Originally serving as a member of the Osean Air Defense Force flying F-111 Aardvarks. In 1984, he would resign from the OADF in pursuit of better pay,
signing on with the Osean-based private military firm Akron Aeronautics. For the rest of the 1980s, he would mainly be contracted out as an aggressor
pilot, acting as Red-For for Osean Maritime Defense Force training missions and wargames. In 1991 Lawasco would get his first real combat assignment,
working with the armed forces of the Republic of South Sotoa to maintain airspace security around vital oil and natural gas infrastructure. Near the
start of 1994, he would leave Akron Aeronautics, choosing instead to place his skills on the open market as a freelance mercenary. In November of that
same year, Lawasco would Contact the Ustian Embassy in Oured after hearing that they were looking to hire pilots to help expand their Air Force. After
a few meetings, a contract was agreed upon and signed and within a few days he would be placed on a plane bound for Ustio.

After arriving in Ustio he would be assigned as the number 3 for the newly formed 29th Air Force Units under the command of CPT. Vaibhav Sarkar. The next
several weeks were primarily getting used to his new airframe as well as getting to know his team better, quickly forming a friendship with his
wingman LT. Modesto Gonsalves. As the new year came, Lawasco and the rest of his unit would conduct combat patrols of the border region. In late February
he would score two victories during a series of border skirmishes with the Belkin Air Force, though the kills would not be officially recognized due to
the sensitive political nature before the war.

On the 25th of March, 1995, The Belkan Federation would declare war and launched an invasion of its neighbors. Lawasco and the rest of the 29th AFU would
be thrown on the frontlines, attacking advancing Belkan army forces as well as covering retreating Ustian units. After the fall of Ustio's main Airbase
at Bozdar and the loss of the Capital Directus, Lawasco, and the other mercenary forces would redeploy to the remote Valais Air Base, deep in the Tyrann
Mountains. For the first few weeks of April, the 29th AFU would continue to conduct sorties, whether it be defending their new home or launching raids on
enemy positions. During this time Lawasco would continue to rack up kills and kick off a friendly rivalry with the members of the 39th & 52nd Air Force
unit, all Akron Aeronautics pilots who he use to work with.

On the 24th of April, the Allied forces would launch their counter-offensive against the Belkans, initializing with the liberation of the Futuro Canal.
Lawasco and his team were assigned to the second phase of the operation named Operation Round Hammer, with the objective of destroying enemy shore installations
and surface combatants. Initially, the operation was going smoothly, with Lawasco managing to take out several ground targets around the canal's northern port.
However, when the time came to assault enemy naval units moving in from the north he would rejoin his flight. while getting into position to launch an
attack, his aircraft was hit by a surface-to-air missile from an enemy frigate. The blast caused the anti-ship missile mounted under the central fuselage of
his Mirage to detonate, completely obliterating his plane. Due to the nature of his aircraft's destruction and the low altitude he was at, no ejection was
sighted and he would later be listed as killed in action.

Once a proud member of The Republic of Amber's Air Defense Force, Gonsalves was widely considered a model fighter pilot amongst his peers. In 1989 he was involved in a mid-air collision between himself and a pilot from another squadron, though Gonsalves was able to eject safely the other pilot wasn't as fortunate and went down with his aircraft. After a surprisingly quick investigation, Gonsalves was found responsible for the accident and swiftly court-martialed, however, Gonsalves would protest that the other pilot had performed an unsafe maneuver and had caused the collision. He would later be found guilty and stiped of his wings as a result. Not wishing to reside in an obscure supply depot at the ass end of nowhere, he would resign from the military and place his
skills on the market as a mercenary for hire.

Gonsalves would spend the next couple of years jumping from different combat zones around the world, most notably his involvement in fighting against Yuktobanian-backed rebels over the Emirate of Karabastan in 1993. Early the next year he would take a break from flying and return to Amber to visit family. Not wishing to burn through all his earnings, by the latter part of the year he began looking for work once more. In November Gonsalves was contacted by the Ustian government, who were looking to hire skilled pilots to help replace losses sustained from several border skirmishes with their neighbor Belka. With no other contracts available at the time, he would accept the offer, arriving in Ustio a few weeks later.

Once he arrived in Ustio he was assigned to the 29th Air Force unit, and would immediately begin familiarizing himself with his aircraft and new teammates. Gonsalves's demeanor was generally considered positive, eager to get to work, and was quite easy to get along with, even striking up a friendship with his new wingman LT. Lawasco. The operations tempo would begin to pick up as the new year came, with more air patrols of the border and the occasional skirmish. In late January Gonsalves would become the first of his team to down a hostile, shooting down a Belkan MiG-23 after it fired on an Ustian border guard outpost. More of these violent flare-ups continued as February came and went, with Gonsalves and the other mercenary pilots performing admirably in staving off Belkan intrusions.

After the official commencement of hostilities towards the end of March, Gonsalves and his team would be deployed along the front line in western Ustio. Following the loss of Bozdar Air Base and the Capital City, the unit would be redeployed to Valais Air Base, wh ere they would continue to strike back at the invading Belkans whenever possible. On April 24th Gonsalves and the rest of the 29th AFU would take part in Offensive Operation no.4101 with its initial operation of retaking the Futuro Canal. During the mission Gonsalves's wingman would be shot down and killed by an enemy warship, putting a bleak spot on what should have been a successful mission. Though he was able to avenge his friend by sinking the offending vessel, the loss would weigh heavy on him as the conflict continued.

After the Liberation of Ustio and the start of the Allied invasion into Southern Belka, Gonsalves would go through a notable change. He began openly criticizing allied command to the point of near insubordination and started distancing himself from the other members of his team when not on duty. After the declared ceasefire in early June, things would quickly start to wind down for Gonsalves. On June 16, he would board his Mirage fighter and take off alone to perform a maintenance check flight. His aircraft would last be seen heading Northwest before disappearing from radar. When it became apparent that he was overdue, a search was launched to locate him, After 3 days the search was called off with it being assumed that he had crashed somewhere over the Tyrann Mountains, either dying in the crash itself or succumbing to the harsh elements.

In January of 1996, following the defeat of the paramilitary terrorist organization, A World With No Boundaries, Allied intelligence uncovered Gonsalves's name while coming through the organization's records. This would confirm him as a member of the terrorist group as by this point many had suspected that he defected to the organization following the attack on Valais Air Base when a Mirage F1 in the same paint scheme and markings as his aircraft was sighted during the attack. Later that month his aircraft's remains would be located near the Avalon Dam, though he and his ejection seat were absent from the wreck. Allied intelligence would attempt to locate and
apprehend him but no trace of him could be found, the only known sighting of Gonsalves would occur several years later when he was seen fighting for rebel forces over
his home country of Amber during the 1997-1998 Usean coup d'état.
