The South African Air Force employs the Denel Rooivalk as a native developed attack helicopter platform. Although it has not seen export sale success, it has been deployed by the SAAF in the DRC with the UN forces.
The Rooivalk employs a 3 tone camouflage, which I have adapted to the Apache, as if it were in SAAF service.
This skin will represent the 'type' after a number of years in service with the South African Air Force.
16 Squadron (late) featuring low visibility markings. The aircraft will feature a replaced sensor suite, as per some photos of other camo Apaches online.
The crew have Soldier 2000 pattern flying vests, and pouches, and feature the operational patches worn by SAAF pilots.
This project was made as close as feasible to the Rooivalk camouflage scheme, and should work extremely well in Syria, and other terrain environments.
Over 100 hours went into this skin, finding 99% of the screws, rivets, bolts, and various other parts to be 'painted' correctly. The insignia were created from scratch.
