The 148th Fighter Squadron (FS), part of the Arizona Air National Guard's 162nd Wing, is based at Tucson Air National Guard Base. Known as the “Kickin’ Ass” squadron, it operates F-16 Fighting Falcons primarily for training missions. Established in 1952, the squadron has evolved from air defense to advanced fighter training, providing both U.S. and foreign pilots with high-quality instruction on F-16 operations.
