Laage Air Base, Northern Germany. Dawn breaks grey over the shelters when the klaxon wails — SCRAMBLE!

You are the quick reaction alert pilot on duty. Your MiG-29 waits cold and dark inside the hardened shelter. No time for comfort, no time for doubts — climb in, bring the Fulcrum alive, and get airborne.

Ground Control will vector you onto unknown contacts. Some will be routine escorts, others simple intercepts for identification. But be warned: not every flight on the scope is friendly. A target may just turn hot… and sometimes you’ll find yourself staring down a fight for your life.

The intercepts are randomized — you will never know what’s waiting over the horizon until GCI gives the call. One mission may feel like a drill; the next could be a knife fight at supersonic closure.

Major Joe "Jester" Barker was a MiG-29 Fulcrum pilot for the Erusean Air Force's 21st Reconnaissance Squadron in the 148th Air Division.

Flying a former Erusean Air and Space Administration MiG-29A Testbed aircraft. He was stationed at the Scofields Plateau's forward Air Base during the 2019 Lighthouse War. He would be shot down extremely early in the conflict during an air raid conducted by Osean Forces.

It is decided that the Belkan facility at Mt. Schirm, which was actually housing the nuclear weapons used in the last war, must be sealed for good to prevent any chance of nuclear weapons being smuggled out of it. Razgriz Squadron raids the facility and seals it by collapsing the mountain side it is dug into. Unbeknownst to them, however, the Belkans have already transported three nuclear bombs out of it.
