A Corea do Norte vem realizando inúmeras sortidas partido da base aérea de Tibilisi-Lochini.
A inteligencia descobriu que a localidade está pouco protegida, tendo em vista a distância da fronteira, motivo pelo qual o alto comando da USAF decidiu  realizar uma missão de bombardeio a fim de destruir as instalações da base aérea inimiga, eliminando também as aeronaves no solo.
Para a missão foi designado o esquadrão Dodge, composto de 12 bombardeiros B-52, os quais serão escoltados pelos esquadrões Colt (F-86F) e Enfield (MIG21).
