166030 was an F-14D+ Quickstrike Super Tomcat built in 1993, first being assigned to VF-67 and later VF-20. After the latter squadron transitioned to the Advanced Super Tomcat in 2012 166030, like all other F-14D+s not destined for museums or aggressor use, was sent to one of the Osean military's multiple boneyards, specifically the 444th AMARG situated in a large desert on the Usean continent. After the start of the Lighthouse War and establishment of the 5th Special Composite Squadron under Col. McKinsey 166030 was one of the aircraft handed over to the "Scrap Queen," who managed to undo seven years of atrophy in just over three weeks. After a few days the squadron received a new member, the infamous disgraced Super Hornet pilot John Faulkner and his weapons systems officer Bill Denholm, falsely accused of assassinating the former president.

The new pilot-RIO duo quickly established themselves as a formidable presence, downing over 45 enemy aircraft with one of the infamous Sols

Established in 1922 as Fighting Squadron Three the Fighting Seawolves of VF-20 have led an exciting and tumultuous life as a squadron even before the 1990s. from their stint in the F4U-6 Super Corsair during the Second Osean War to their use of the F-4 Phantom in support of the Aurelian Air Force during the early parts of the 1967-1973 South Osean War. In 1971 they became the fifth squadron (excluding new establishments like VF-77 and VF-130) to transition to the brand new F-14A Tomcat and brought it into combat during their final cruise of the war. In early 1976 they were once again upgraded, this time to the F-14A+. The squadron made the first kills for the new variant on their 1980-1981 WESTPAC cruise, engaging and destroying two MiG-23 "Floggers" and an Su-24 "Fencer" of the Estovak Air Force during a few skirmishes. This aircraft, BLACKFISH 205 (BuNo. 163051), was responsible for the Sukhoi kill with LCDR Ethan "Thorn" Rose up front and LTJG Luke "Chip" Walsh in the back seat

The F-14ADF was one of the rarest Tomcat variants produced with a total of 43 built, it was used by the OADF and the Air National Guard as a long-range 'patrol fighter' which freed up the F-106s and early F-16s for point defense interception. Much of the avionics are the same as the Navy's F-14A, but some parts have been either omitted entirely or stripped down to the bare essentials to improve speed and range. When later-model F-15s began to trickle down from frontline units to the Air National Guard the F-14ADF began being phased out. Most are in either museums or storage however two remain airworthy, one kept in the manufacturer's collection and displayed at the National Museum of Naval Aviation in Stockdale and the other as part of the OADF's Heritage Flight program

In late March 1986, VF-33 was aboard USS America (CV-66) when she crossed Gaddafi's "Line of Death" into the Gulf of Sidra. Libyan SA-5 surface-to-air missiles were unsuccessfully fired at Tomcats from the Starfighters' sister squadron (VF-102) beginning a battle designated as Operation Prairie Fire by the US military. A pair of VF-33's F-14s engaged in a dogfight with Libyan MiG-25 "Foxbats" and outmaneuvered them, and while they had met rules of engagement and acquired Sidewinder tone, they failed to receive authorization to fire in time and the MiGs slipped away. By the end of the battle, Libya had lost a corvette, a fast attack craft, and multiple SAM sites along with a second corvette and missile boat being heavily damaged. No damage or casualties were reported by the US Navy. This F-14, a Block 75 designated TARBOX 210, was flown during the engagement

VF-67, nicknamed the "Fighting Magicians," was established in late 1942 as an F6F Hellcat squadron, going on to fly other notable aircraft such as the F9F-6 Cougar and the F-4 Phantom II. In 1972 the squadron, along with VF-153 "Pit Vipers," became the first to transition into the F-14A Tomcat. They would not however be the first to score a kill with the fighter, but in its mere presence the first fourth-generation fighter was more than enough to deter Yuktobanian forces and their allies

The Sea Control Fighter Squadron (VFS) was a short-lived experiment by Osea's Department of the Navy intended to supplement carrier air wings by replacing their S-3s with the more versatile F-14A+, leveraging its use of the AGM-84 Harpoon, long range, and high speed. Although effective for ASuW, the major achilles' heel of the "SF-14" as crews called it was the lack of any substantial antisubmarine warfare capability. The three VFS squadrons (VFS-5, VFS-9, and VFS-36) were established in 1979 and transitioned to the S-3 by 1984. VFS-5, nicknamed the "Kingfishers," was the most successful, sinking multiple enemy warships including a light cruiser during the 1982 Kijera Strait Crisis

VF-55 "Silver Bullets," originally established as the "Double Nickels" as an F4U Corsair squadron in 1940, changing from them directly to the F-8 Crusader, then from the Crusader to the Tomcat in 1973. In 1977 the F-14A+ upgrade was rolled out, and 10 years later the F-14B Upgrade program began. This Tomcat, BuNo. 164999, is an F-14B Upgrade that was stripped of its tactical paint scheme in 1990 for a bare-metal scheme reminiscent of the squadron's original Corsairs in honor of their 50th anniversary

In 1995 the Belkan Civil War had begun, leading to many squadrons being deployed over the holiday season with a predictable dip in morale. To combat this, some squadrons elected to repaint an aircraft in a seasonal scheme, known colloquially as Santa Cats. VF-20 was one such squadron, adorning their mascot with a Santa hat and adding festive stripes to both the tail and nose

The skin features custom ordnance textures for both AAMs and bombs as well as custom nozzles for the F110 engines
