Summary of the X56 HOTAS configuration I made for myself & currently use for the A-10C II. This setup has been an absolute game changer for my enjoyment, aircraft handling, and overall in flight immersion. After sharing it with a few of my friends who found it extremely helpful, one of them recommended that I post it publicly so new pilots can use it as a reference and starting point for their own control layout.

I’m sharing it here in the hope that it provides a clear, organized guide for anyone getting into the Warthog or looking to streamline their controls. Whether you're brand-new to DCS or just refining your setup, I hope this helps you get up and flying more confidently. If you have suggestions or want to compare layouts, I’d love to hear what others are using as well.

This is really just initial attempt, should get refined in time - not perfect at all.

It took time to understand how configure "shift" and make sure things are working smoothly. Software for configuring is Virpil VPC Configuration Tool. Config screenshot is attached.

* In Aeromax mapping * is for btn2 of Throttle - the Modifier. Aeromax has no modifier itself, but has Shift, which shifts buttons from say 15 to 27.

Throttle settings are mostly from some other person who uploaded 16000m throttle+joystick here before

This is an edit of Metal-Material's standard Stream Deck profile seen on Reddit here:

This is for the Stream Deck XL.
My edits are a bit more simple than the original, but with the extra buttons on the XL model, it allows you to run the keyboard on all screens.
I also removed the radar controls, as I have additional buttons on different hardware for those.

Profile and bindings for the free Su-25T aircraft on the Logitech Extreme 3D Pro. Relies on some type of head tracking available to the player as no head movement keybinds are included. Addresses a serious lack of profiles for this device, a common starting point in flight simulation. Includes a .zip folder containing the profile itself (.lua) and one .xlsx spreadsheet, visually mapping and describing each binding.

I play DCS since 2023 when BVVD did what he did again, because I'm a WT player with no HOTAS, so I try to fly dcs aircraft with mouse and keyboard, and I found out it is not that hard to fly, from jet to heli, even some warbird with rudder assist, I can dog fight and air refuel, even land a harrier on the Tarawa(it's not easy), and I hope my input file can get more ppl play dcs with no equipment
