In this late 70's Replay of the 1973 Damascus Intl Airport Attack by the IAF the Syrians have prepared an enhanced response
to IAF aggression by invading F-4E bombers the Syrians have installed SPAAG  on or near their critical installations and
also they have acquired some late 70's "Low Digit Manpads" these being short range rear aspect hand launched Anti Aircraft Missiles
of late 70's design. Also two flights of MiG-21bis GCI will be launched when the F-4E bombers are near the Syrian Aerodromes.
The player in this Mission will lead a flight of 4 Mig-19P farmer aircraft in a GCI intercept of the incoming F-4E bombers.

This is a scripted single player mission for the Kiowa Warrior that takes place on the Syria map. It involves engaging ground targets as well as operating as AFAC from the Kiowa platform wherein you will lase targets for AI F-16’s. Mission runtime is ~1hr to 1.5hr and it is a medium difficulty mission. This mission includes about 60 AI voice overs and some light scripting for effects.

At least 3 MLRS rocket launcher positions are suspected south of Beirut. Search for them and destroy them.

Attention! Latest information on known threats!

An SA6 is suspected near Beirut. In addition, we MUST assume that several IGLA weapon systems have fallen into the hands of the terrorist organization. Be vigilant!

Fly low to remain invisible against the SA6, but be careful enough to avoid possible Igla fire!

It is strongly recommended to fly the flight plan!!!

SITUATION : Nous sommes le 22 avril 2018, il est 06H25 LT. Vous venez de décoller de la piste de fortune (aménagée spécialement) de TALISMAN. Hier, vous avez neutralisé une patrouille de 2xMiG-29A. Selon un renseignement ROHUM vérifié et fiable, le N°2 de ADYAQLA, une organisation terroriste internationale, doit se rendre aujourd’hui de Haditha (Ouest Irak) vers un lieu secret, proche de l’aéroport de Sayqal (38 NM au NE de Damas). Un de nos satellites a repéré ce matin, à 2h00, un convoi suspect correspondant à la cible sur une route dans l’Est de la Syrie, en provenance d’Irak. Si l’objectif est confirmé, ce haut responsable ne doit pas atteindre la région de Sayqal. Cette opération est TOP SECRET, et est supervisée par la CIA et la DGSE, en collaboration avec la NSA et la DRM.

On 16 October 1973, the IAF sent two flights from Squadron 69 to attack  an armored vehicle repair shop at Harasta, northeast of Damascus to disrupt the repair of battle-damaged tanks. The package included four F-4 bombers trailed by a four-F-4 escort flight.
