Cargo Mover Kola is a sandbox-style cargo mission for the C-130J, set on the Kola Map.
The mission focuses on airlift operations, offering dynamic cargo transport tasks across the entire region.
Cargo Mover Kola places you in the role of a military transport pilot operating in a cold, tense environment where logistics matter. Instead of fast-paced combat, the mission emphasizes planning, navigation, and execution of cargo flights under challenging weather conditions.
Cargo demands are dynamically generated across the map, creating constantly changing routes between airfields. Each task requires proper preparation, fuel planning, and careful approach management, making every flight different. Addionally maybe not all locations can be used to land, maybe you need to find different ways to deliver your cargo there.
The mission is designed as an open sandbox, allowing the player to choose routes, destinations, and pacing freely while providing a clear operational purpose for the C-130J.
Designer Notes
Cargo Mover Kola was created out of a desire to give the C-130J a meaningful, repeatable role in DCS World enviroment.
The focus was placed on:
- Replayability through dynamic task generation
- A calm but immersive operational tempo
- Realistic use of the Hercules as a logistics backbone
- Single & Mulitplayer compatibility
This mission is intended for relaxed but thoughtful flying. No strict time pressure, no scripted outcomes, just a job that needs to be done. Due to the sandbox character of this mission, there are no voice overs integrated yet. I am also planning to add more features to the mission, you can expact further improvements in future.
