This is a collection of AI-controlled aircraft models for DCS world.  These are not 'mods' as such, as they are low-to-medium poly count models, with no animations, and no cockpit (nor cockpit systems).  Rather, these are meant as simple aircraft models to fly against as an opponent and target, including in missions by spawning in-flight.

in this release...
Douglas TBD ‘Devastator’
Grumman TBM ‘Avenger’
Grumman F6F ‘Hellcat’
Messerschmitt Me 262
Lockheed P-38 ‘Lightning’
Bell P-39 ‘Airacobra’

Player Flyable?
While intended as AI-flown asset, these are 'player-flyable', in a sense.  There is no functioning cockpit (no instrument panel) and F1 view is slightly forward of the cockpit.  Thus while technically you can fly these, they don’t offer the ‘flight sim’ experience the Modules and other Mods offer, and these are really meant to be AI-controlled.

Artistic Credits
The models are by the artist helijah as posted on the Sketchfab website (details on each model can be found in the README.txt file for each aircraft).

SFM Flight models
The values used in the 'aircraftname.lua' file are not based on any any technical, military or restricted content related to the aircraft, nor are they derived from real world operation or testing.  The values for 'aircraftname.lua' are based on publicly available data (examples: airframe dimensions, weights, engine type/power, operating speeds and altitudes).  The values for the engine table and for the aerodynamics table are refined by in-game testing, with the objective of permitting the user to fly the aircraft in DCS World as 'player' to the max velocity, and service ceiling corresponding to the aircraft as found on public websites such as Wikipedia.

To Install...
Installation: the usual drill…
  1) download the ‘.zip’ folder,
  2) unzip folder contents,
  3) place desired aircraft folders in your local 'mods' location, i.e ...SavedGames/DCS/Mods/aircraft...
