Royal Netherlands Navy F/A-18C - 321SQN (Fictional)

The livery is based on the Royal Netherlands Navy livery used by the 1950's Hawker Seahawk, using a light grey/beige at the bottom of the aircraft to mask the
aircraft from below and a dark grey/navy blue on top of the aircraft to prevent the aircraft to be seen from above.

The Dutch 321 Naval Air Squadron is used in the livery. 321NAS was founded in 1940 at Pembroke Dock in Wales, UK. The squadron was made up of Dutch Navy personnel
who fled from the German Occupation. At first the squadron flew Avro Ansons in a coastal and anti submarine warfare role.
In 1941 the squadron was disbanded to be restarted in August 1942 in Ceylon (modern day Sri-Lanka) and flew PBY Catalinas and later Consolidated B-24 Liberators
in escort, reconnaissance and anti submarine patrols.
After World War Two the squadron was given back to the Royal Netherlands Navy and stayed in the Dutch Indies (modern day Indonesia).
In 1962 the squadron returned to The Netherlands flying P2V-7B Neptunes and later Brequet Atlantics. In 1984 the P-3 Orions arrived with which the squadron performed
many anti submarine missions during the Cold War, many in secrecy.

The squadron motto is "Nulli Secondus", meaning Second to None.

On the 14th of January 2005 the squadron, together with Valkenburg Naval Air Station and 320 Naval Air Squadron, was disbanded due to budget cuts
within the Dutch military.
Using this livery we can bring the squadron and its naval history back to life within DCS.
