After months of massive Warsaw Pact buildup coupled with ever increasing exercises, WP forces crossed the borders of Central Europe at 1300 Zulu Feb 13th.
Norway has taken brutal losses in the Air, Land, and Sea and is barely holding off the Soviets in the Bardufoss area, South West of what has been dubbed "The Blue Line" at 21E Longitude.
The Soviets are building up an IADS and troop numbers on Iceland with massive air convoys out of the Murmansk area.
Northern Norway is also transforming into a fortress of Soviet SAM and EWR sites, with troops massing behind constant skirmishes near Bardufoss for an inevitable land push into the South.
Heavy NATO losses and Soviet gains in Europe are diverting forces and supplies away fr om the Norwegian area of operations. The heavily exhausted RNoAF along with the 480th and 493rd Fighter Squadrons of the USAF are pushed to their lim it trying to hold Southern Norway.
