normal (for when you just wanna remember how things go)
no vis
just follow waypoints or TACAN and use ILS when in-range

hard (a challange)
no vis
wind
use waypoints or TACANto get in-range for ILS. dont be afraid to use autopilot. only trim for your payload. wind directions change depending on the altitude.

suicide (a really hard challange. but if you're used to(or want to get used to) getting completely ruined planes home this is the worst case system wise)
no vis

no sas
no hud
no airspeed
no clock
no MFCD's
no tacan
no TGP
no radios
no EGI
the only "valid" tactic would be to dip below the clouds and VFR it

This is a simple practice mission for the Mirage 2000c.  Must be able to use ALL of the systems currently available (1st beta) in the Mirage including the ILS Synthetic runway view.  This is also my first mission.  Please let me know if you like it..

UH-1 IFR mission.  Weather is windy, 110m visibility in fog & rain. You have to take-off & perform an ILS approach at Kobuleti! This mission will test your IFR piloting skills.  Mission time 10-20 min.

A table of ILS, TACAN and tower frequencies for all DCS airfields.

You fly with a broken plane, system failures are to expect. Weather is bad and u have to find a place to land. Good luck!

Datacartridges for Mirage 2000C including waypoints parametered for ILS landings with desired route, desired angle, and labels for you to know the ILS frequency and TACAN if it exists. All il ready for synthetic runways, in any mission / server.

A dust storm has closed all of the surrounding airports. Your best chance to land before running out of fuel is Tbilisi which is equipped with an ILS system.  One way or another, this jet must come down.

You need OVGME to use this mod as is, or you can extract the file and copy it over yourself.

Install to DCS OpenBeta CORE (NOT DCS/SAVED GAMES)

This mod comments out some lines of lua (and add a few more) that couple the 33ft and 1600ft winds so you can winds correctly without being forced to have insane winds at 1600ft.

Also you can use the 33ft winds to make the sea state crazy but have normal winds just above that.

Note: Whilst this decouples them, inside the DCS engine it still has a gradient from the 33ft going up.

It's not possible to add in the wind direction tool for the 1600ft winds unfortunately because the DCS DLL doesn't have the appropriate function hooks. :(

Just want to add, if you do a reciprocal wind for the 6600ft wind that is equal or greater than the 33ft wind, the WEATHER.DLL will skew the gradient such that the wind at 1600ft will be virtually gone and the winds aloft will be strong as will the surface wind.
