Caucasus Region - 1999

After the collapse of the Soviet Union,  Georgia, Abkhazia and South-Ossetia are fighting a bloody war over disputed territories for almost a decade now.
The Russians - waging a proxy war - are supplying the Abkahzians and South Ossetians with arms and manpower, while Georgia is asking the help of NATO to solve the situation.

A small contingent of western air power is stationed in country and on the Black Sea to prevent the escalation any further.

Several Divisions of Syrian armor are racing across the Golan Heights.  They have met fierce resistance from the tiny number of IDF defenders, but not enough to stop the thrust.  Only a handful of friendly units remain.  They are exhausted and almost out of ammo from continuous fighting through the night.   Within ten miles of their objectives the Syrians are in sight of victory.

The only thing stopping them is what is left of the IDF forces on the ground and air strikes.  This mission is exceedingly dangerous because the threats include MiGs, SAMs, and radar-guided AAA.  You are tasked with helping blunt the spearhead.

Syria has crossed the Purple Line.  Sirens are going off all over Israel.  It is Yom Kippur, 1973.  Instead of being with family, you are mounting up in your A-4 “Ayit”.  You are about to see firsthand what is actually going on.

The mission is Close Air Support.  The problem is communication.  We have none.  There are no FACs.  The engaged units are fighting for their lives.

In this mission, you will be flying a sortie into Iran. This is a mission for either the Mirage F1-CE, Mirage F1-EE, Mirage F1-BE, Mirage 2000C, F-16C, F-14B, F/A-18C, JF-17, F-15E, or F-5E-3 airframes. ***DOWNLOAD MODS in the Description to play as intended.***

Feel Free to change your weapon loadout.  Shoot down any hostile aircraft you can, then come home alive. We know you might face multiple planes of the following types that the IRIAF has at its disposal: F-4C, F14, F-5E, MiG 27, MiG 29, JF-17, Su-27, and Mirage F1BQ. Enemy airframes will be random. The waypoints are your suggested way in and out of Iran, however you can fly another route if you so desire. This route was chosen to avoid some of the more powerful SAM sites and air defenses. Hailing from Shiloh, the capital of the Osean State of Kenton, the “10 of Spades'' Squadron is one of the few Mirage F-1 operators left within the Air Defense Force. Despite its advanced age and overall limitations, the 110th Fighter Squadron proved that the F1 was still an effective fighter during the defense of Shiloh in the opening minutes of the Lighthouse War.

As Erusean MQ-99 drones attacked the city and its infrastructure, two Mirage F1s launched and intercepted the CUAVs, and in using their superior climb and speed advantages, were able to down the Erusean aircraft using slash attacks against the smaller subsonic aircraft.

Despite initial successes, the Squadron would remain in Shiloh during the remainder of the conflict, though their successes have positioned them to receive the F-35A in 2030 with the full retirement of the Mirage F1.
