Iran and China have entered an alliance of mutual support which has bolstered Iran's influence in the Persian Gulf. As a result tensions between this alliance and the US and Europe escalated to the point of war. This mission is set early in the conflict and involves providing CAP for ground attack flights.

I want to share a Set of 15 Static Templates that I edited to provide scenery objects and air defense for each of Iran's Airbases on the Persian Gulf Map. These Templates make use of three User Mods, that must be installed prior to actually using the Templates on the Mission Editor. They are:

1) VPC Airfield Equipment Mod, by @voc, originally available here:

In this mission, you will be flying a sortie into Iran. This is a mission for either the Mirage F1-CE, Mirage F1-EE, Mirage F1-BE, Mirage 2000C, F-16C, F-14B, F/A-18C, JF-17, F-15E, or F-5E-3 airframes. ***DOWNLOAD MODS in the Description to play as intended.***

Feel Free to change your weapon loadout.  Shoot down any hostile aircraft you can, then come home alive. We know you might face multiple planes of the following types that the IRIAF has at its disposal: F-4C, F14, F-5E, MiG 27, MiG 29, JF-17, Su-27, and Mirage F1BQ. Enemy airframes will be random. The waypoints are your suggested way in and out of Iran, however you can fly another route if you so desire. This route was chosen to avoid some of the more powerful SAM sites and air defenses. -=Summary=-
Following the successful repelling of Soviet Ground Forces by the Georgian Separatists, NATO forces based in Kutaisi & Batumi have been cooperating with local insurgents to prevent a Soviet counter attack. If the spy plane violates our border, you are to intercept it and shoot it down! Show these westerners a little Soviet hospitality!

-=Objectives=-
(1) Intercept NATO spy plane.
(2) Shoot the aircraft down if it violates our borders!
(3) Avoid crossing the border.
(4) Evade enemy air defences.
(5) Return to desired airbase & shutdown the aircraft (independent from interception outcome).
