In short, I'm using the CE2 as a stand-in for the N3N Yellow Bird and the Tarawa as a stand-in for the Essex. Remember that the Tarawa is actually a bit smaller than the Essex, and the CE2 has vastly better performance than the N3N. Despite that, I think it should be a solid 'get a feel around a boat' sort of experience for those who want to get it in early.

Anapa-Vityazevo airbase just received 8 Scud systems to be used against US targets and Allies within the next 48 hours. The Scuds are the primary target. The secondary target is 8 SU25s located nearby which are armed and are expected to attack Batumi Airbase in the next 72 hours.

Mission Duration: ~3.5 Hours for startup-landing
Suggested Experience Level: Medium-Expert
Suggested Players: 4-5

Skills required: TACAN usage, Air-to-Air refueling, low level flight, threat avoidance, SEAD, system knowledge (especially the Harrier), Air-to-Air tactics, night flying and NVG usage. You should be able to ripple against multiple targets in a single pass.

Waypoints 1 to 11 have the Sovet "SA" SAMs in order of maximum range, from shortest to longest range.

Unlimited weapons is ON.
Chaff/Flare is NOT unlimited.
You are NOT invulnerable.

Each site has one ZSU AAA that will shoot at you, but cannot shoot down Missiles (unlike some SAMs).

Missiles from waypoint 1 and 2 are avoided with flares only.
Missiles from waypoint 3 (SA-19 Tunguska) can ONLY be avoided by evasive maneuvers or blocking line of sight.
Missiles from waypoints 4-11 are all avoided by chaff and the usual manoeuvers.
Alternatively stay outside the missile engagement zones as defined in the briefing.

Unlimited weapons include a HARM, SLAM-ER, JSOW-C, Maverick-F. Some SAMs will engage your missiles, record with tacview to watch the action.

Practice HARM PB Loft modes from the safety of mountains, and the effects of the various standoff weapons on each type of SAM. Practice standoff weapon launches from very high altitudes to see the increased range outside SAM engagemen

I was looking for a working "MIDI-to-virtual keys" application working in DCS but I couldn't find one so using knowledge of other people (samples of Python code scattered around) I made a simple tool to generate virtual keys.

It was tested with X-Touch Mini but should work with any MIDI device (if configured properly) and it should be able to generate keys for any game, not only DCS.

HOWTO:
1. make sure your X-Touch-Mini is configured same way as presented on screenshots
2. launch DCS and import key profiles (for NS430 for example)
3. launch one of *.bat files (NS430 or Hind sample profile)
4. with profiles imported, X-Touch-Mini generating keystrokes understood by NS430 or Hind module it should be able to use knobs and buttons

This tool is not for faint of heart. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK
