Combined w/a cyber attack a few hours ago that took down all radar-based SAMs in the area, there's a high probability of an attack in Cairo. The military is scrambling all available fighters in a show of force over Cairo while local authroities investigate 4 locations pinged during the attack (WYPTs 2, 4, 5 & 6).
Once confirmed, EGF will mark enemy locations w/Red Smoke and friendly positions w/Blue Smoke. CAS units will then proceed to clear those areas of hostiles.
Western Coalition forces in the region will be providing additional air support.

***MISSION OVERVIEW***
- CAS flights (A-10CII's, AV-8B's, F-15E's, F-16C's, & F/A-18's) will patrol counter clockwise in a modified octagon around Cairo Intl.
- With the threat of enemy fighters, our CAS flights will all have mixed loadouts to engage both ground & air targets.
- Because of your proven skills in the past, you're authorized to use cluster munitions within city limits. With that said, there are over 21 million people living in Cairo, not to mention allied forces on the ground. One misplaced munition could ruin and/or end the lives of hundreds of innocent lives & put a strain on international relations. Don't take unnecessary risks. Let allied units w/their precision weapons takeout smaller groups of enemy forces.
- CAP flights (JF-17's & F-14B's) will patrol counter clockwise in a 20 nm heptagon around Cairo Intl.
***PRIMARY MISSION***
- Your job is to get in, drop munitions on the largest concentrations of enemy ground units, engage nearby enemy fighters & get out. Repair/refuel/rearm & get back in the air ASAP. Repeat until the mission is complete.
***SECONDARY MISSION***
- Provide CAP while CAS units neutralize enemy strongholds.
***OPTIONAL TASK***
Disable and/or destroy 4 trains transporting opposition equipment into Downtown Cairo.

The streets will be clear of all civilian traffic as the city is on total lockdown.
One last thing. There are multiple fighter aircraft detected outside of our controlled airspace. AWACS will report any that turn towards Cairo. Keep your head on a swivel.

***NOTES***
- All aircraft start hot & preloaded (some setup is required - i.e. Updating the DTC on JF-17s).
- When selecting an aircraft, look at the Group Name to know what type of weapons are preloaded (CAP or CAS).
- After initial launch, fighter aircraft should fly in formation w/other fighters for a more enjoyable experience while waiting for the 1st target area to be identified.
- Helos should take up a 5 nm holding pattern around Cairo Intl and respond to target areas to assist (WYPTs 2, 4, 5 & 6).
- Tuning in on CAS/CAP freq's can be annoying as the bullseyes are bugged for the Sinai map.
- Cairo Intl & Cairo West can be used to repair, refuel & rearm if you're pressed for time & don't want to fly back to your primary airfield @ WYPT 1.
- All AI skills randomized.
- All enemy spawns are randomized.
- Strongholds can spawn in any order.
- Enemy fighters can attack from any direction North, West &/or South of Cairo.
- Labels turned off for better emersion.
- All active units visible on the F10 map.
