8 Pułk Lotnictwa Myśliwsko-Bombowego powstał w 1952 roku. Pułk ten dostał Su-22 jako ostatni. Mirosławiec dostał samoloty ze wszystkich jednostek gdzie było ich za dużo. 8 Brandemburski Pułk Lotnictwa Myśliwsko-Bombowego dostał także najnowocześniejsze samoloty, czyli ostatni Su-22 w Polsce o numerze #3101 (teraz w szarym kamuflażu posiada numer #8101). 8 Pułk rozformowano w 1999 roku, a jego tradycje przejęła sformowana w jego miejsce 8 Eskadra Lotnictwa Taktycznego. The 8th Fighter-Bomber Regiment was formed in 1952. This regiment was the last to receive the Su-22. Mirosławiec got planes fr om all units wh ere there were too many of them. The 8th Brandenburg Fighter-Bomber Regiment also received the most modern aircraft, i.e. the last Su-22 in Poland with the number #3101 (now in gray camouflage it has the number #8101). The 8th Regiment was disbanded in 1999, and its traditions were taken over by the 8th Tactical Air Squadron formed in its place. Regards, Robsonek.
