A 4-ship multiplayer mission simulating a mission to destroy several Iranian naval attack craft. Incorporates enemy fighter aircraft and SAM systems. Depart from UAE to conduct airspace sweeps of enemy fighters before dropping laser-guided bombs on the boats and harbor infrastructure. Defend against responding aircraft and ADA/SAMs. Includes Day and Night variants of the mission.
After coming under increased sanctions fr om Western powers, Iran has undertaken attacks in the Straits against Western-flagged shipping. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy has been conducting small-scale targeted attacks into the Straits against western-flagged ships, using small attack boats and mines.
The attacks have been originating from Kish island, wh ere the boats are moored and supplied from fuel and ammo stores in the harbor. A UAE tanker was attacked yesterday morning, resulting in severe damage and crew casualties. The President has ordered an attack to destroy the boats and the facilities used to support them, in hopes of resuming traffic through the Straits, projecting power, and gaining favor from the West. Saudi Arabia has volunteered a squadron of F-15E for the sortie.
Mission:
Enfield flight will conduct a nighttime strike on the attack boats and their staging areas in the NE harbor of Kish Island. There are four fuel storage tanks being used to fuel the boats, as well as warehouses assessed to contain ammunition for the boats. There are 15-20 boats being operated for the attacks.
The island has minimal defensive units, primarily 57mm ADA at the airport, however possible 100mm ADA has been observed defending the harbor. So must maintain an attack altitude above 15k ASL. The secondary target of opportunity is an Iranian cargo ship making its way toward the harbor from the West.
