F/A-18C Hornet - Operation Jupiter's Javelin [v2.02a March 10, 2024]

This is a fictional based mission set in the Caucasus region and is designed for COOP play.  The mission can be done solo if you desire.  The player(s) spawn on deck of the George Washington as the sun is coming up.  I created this mission with some built in variability.  This variability comes in the form of probabilities for additional spawns that can be changed in the triggers.  

I suggest flying this as provided and then tweaking probabilities to your needs.  See forum post for additional details surrounding the trigger probabilities.  Please let me know what you think and how this could be improved.  Hope you all enjoy the mission.

2.02 (July 21,2023) - Revised starting probabilities to reduce difficulty.  I realized I uploaded a version that my buddies and I were playing (3 players) that might present difficult challenges to the inexperienced.  See forum thread for pointers on how to change.  Also added new score condition to account for nuanced player driven outcome.  Moved .miz file into a .zip file that includes mission briefing pdf and a txt file I use with the scratchpad modification for those that might also use this mod (https://forum.dcs.world/topic/195700-in-game-scratchpad-mod-available-works-great-in-vr/#comments)

The Wagner Group is a Russian Paramilitary Group under loose control of the Russian GRU (Main Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation). The group has notoriously been an extension of Russian Vladimir Putin’s inner power circle. While unproven, it is widely presumed that the Wagner Group operates secret training facilities and weapons manufacturing plants in and around the country of Georgia.

Over the past few months, American intelligence agencies located several Russian weapon outposts in Northern Georgia. This region is extremely fertile and produces high levels of raw materials that produce fertilizer and their explosive by-products. Russian fertilizer exports topped $12B USD last year making them the world’s largest exporter. Growing, collecting, and refining the raw materials into fertilizer is a cash cow for Russia and crossing borders to produce (steal) is common practice. The Wagner Group appears to manage this black-market operation.

Recent CIA field operatives uncovered one of these “farms” on the outskirts of the small Georgian lake town of Haristvala. According to our CIA brethren, this farm currently houses one of the top Wagner Group commanders, Mikil Grenkonov. Grenkenov is notorious for his brutal training methods and complete disregard for human life. He is rumored to have masterminded several terrorist movements within Europe. This is our opportunity to eliminate Grenkonov while also taking a bite out of Russia’s Georgian source of fertilizer refinement.
