Duchy of Teschen (Ksiynstwo Cieszyński/Herzogtum Teschen) was european country existing in the years 1290 - 1918 (from 1653 as a part of Austrian Monarchy). During the first world war ducal soldiers was fighting on the side of Central Powers. After defeat, country was divided between Poland and Czechoslovakia and lost independence.
