Il MiG-19P Farmer fu progettato dal leggendario Mikoyan Design Bureau nei primi anni ‘50. E’ stato il primo vero caccia intercettore supersonico dell’Unione Sovietica, in grado di superare Mach 1 in volo livellato.
Progettato per ingaggiare i caccia e i bombardieri nemici a qualsiasi ora del giorno e della notte e in ogni condizione meteorologica, il Farmer era dotato del radar RP-5 Izumrud situato nel muso e armato con due cannoni da 30 mm. NR-30 collocati nelle radici alari. Il Farmer era anche in grado di trasportare una serie di armi aria-terra, inclusi i razzi S-5M e svariate bombe convenzionali. E’ un intercettore letale con capacità di attacco al suolo convenzionale.

Il progetto AV-8B nasce nei primi anni ‘70 con l’obiettivo di affrontare i limiti operativi dell’AV-8A Harrier di prima generazione, puntando a migliorare drasticamente le capacità e le prestazioni dei primi AV-8A. L’AV-8B effettuò il proprio volo inaugurale nel Novembre 1981 ed entrò in servizio con il Corpo dei Marines degli Stati Uniti (USMC, United States Marine Corps) nel Gennaio 1985. In seguito si è evoluto nell’AV-8B N/A (Night Attack) e nell’AV-8B Harrier II Plus.

L’M-2000C è un caccia multiruolo francese di quarta generazione. Fu progettato negli anni ‘70 come caccia leggero e ne sono stati costruiti più di 600. L’M-2000C è un caccia monomotore con ala bassa a delta e senza piani orizzontali di coda. Ha un’eccellente manovrabilità, grazie alla stabilità rilassata e al sistema di controllo del volo fly-by-wire. L’M-2000C dispone di un radar Doppler a impulsi (RDI) multimodale, in grado di tracciare e ingaggiare bersagli oltre il raggio visivo. Oltre ad ingaggiare altri aerei con cannoni e missili, l’M-2000C può effettuare anche attacco al suolo con cannoni, razzi e bombe. L’M-2000C si inserisce perfettamente nel campo di battaglia di DCS World!
