This is a mission that I made mostly for A2G attack practice, has some triggers, F10 radio menu options, and voice requests for the mission. Most usable aircraft are available, either with an air start or cold start on the ground. There is also some A2A engagement, but can be disabled via the radio comms. It's a good mission for learning and practicing air to ground attacks, and anti ship fighting if you so choose.



*****Unzip the file and place the mission folder "Airfield Attack Training Mission" in the mission directory .

Usually under:

[drive letter]\users\[your user name]\saved games\DCS\missions\

Then go into DCS and it should be under the "Missions" option*****

For all Aircraft- Russia and North Korea have joined forces, To take full control of Georgia. Calling there full military forces into Georgia Overnight to hit us hard by Air, Land and Sea Russia has sent the full might of there carrier group north in support of there ground forces, and set up a Blockade at our weapons testing and storage facility in Gelendzik. We Have been pushed back to Anapa, our last holding point and headquarters for Georgia., Carrier group umbrella are currently docked and in repair and can only provide limited sam capability, 2 F18s, 1 E2C Hawkeye, 1 S3B Refueller. We are down to our last EWR station Lima Mike 22 who can provide us with any warning of incoming forces, Also 1 E3A Support. Throughout the summer of 2019 tensions between Iran and the international communities grew almost to the point of open conflict. The Iranian Navy, with support fr om the Iranian Air Force, boarded and seized several ships that they claimed wh ere in Iranian waters.
A small detachment of A4 Skyhawks from the Iranian Air Force 41 Fighter Squadron has been temporarily located to the civilian airport on Kish Island. This morning those F5s have been tasked with inspecting the two main coastal shipping routes that lie between Iran and Iraq.

A pack of Mosquito skins made in the style of photographic reconnaissance PR.XVI aircraft of No. 140 Squadron, between June and July 1944, with unmarked skins as well as pre-baked aircraft codes for two aircraft ('P' and 'U').

Squadron and aircraft code letters can be hidden on the unmarked skins by replacing the code letters with --- in the mission editor.

Operation Earnest Will Redux Part I contains the first 7 missions of a 13 mission campaign.   Part II consists of the remaining 6 missions.

History seems to be repeating itself.  Back in 1988, Operation Earnest Will was implemented to protect friendly shipping from Iranian attack.  (Yes, I was there).  Now, here we are in modern times and Iran is again threatening to sink any ship transiting through the Strait of Hormuz which has not paid a transit fee to the Iranian government.

You are about to arrive aboard USS George Washington to assume command of VF-103, the Jolly Rogers the day before the Washington battlegroup enters the Persian Gulf to protect friendly shipping from attack.

Your squadron is the tip of the spear for the embarked carrier air wing.  You will be conducting air to air intercepts, air to ground bombing, reconnaissance missions, along with battlegroup defense for the next several weeks.

You have a difficult RECON mission today. With an airborne A-4E-C Skyhawk, low on fuel, you fly low level to the bay of Iskenderun Körfezi near Turkey. Discover several anchored ships with your ground radar so they will show up on the F10 map.

F16 Reconnaissance Mission (single player). Two hours ago, the Canyon Ether (an Oil Tanker) raised a MAYDAY call, reporting that they were being surrounded by several small armed speedboats flying Iranian flags. The crew quickly stopped responding, and the ship transponder went quiet. You must locate the tanker and await further instructions.
