The Serpents Head is a six mission F18C Campaign. It starts in Nevada and ends in the Caucasus region, so both maps are required. (I have issued a version just in the Caucasus Map area for those of you without the Nevada Map). The campaign is story line based and follows the progress of “Ford” (yourself) and his involvement in a new conflict in the Caucasus Region. As in 2008 this is once again in the beleaguered area of Ossetia and Gori. This conflict is gathering pace at an alarming rate such that the West have sent in a multinational force to the Black Sea in the form of some ground forces but primarily a naval fleet with the USS John C Stennis at its heart. We join “Ford” during his last flight over Nevada, before he leaves first light.

This Reduced Version of "The Serpents Head" is a five mission F18C Campaign. It is only to be used if you do not have the Nevada Map. If you do you should use the full version. The Campaign is story line based and follows the progress of “Ford” (yourself) and his involvement in a new conflict in the Caucasus Region. As in 2008 this is once again in the beleaguered area of Ossetia and Gori. This conflict is gathering pace at an alarming rate such that the West have sent in a multinational force to the Black Sea in the form of some ground forces but primarily a naval fleet with the USS John C Stennis at its heart. We join “Ford” on the way to the Stennis just after completing an aerial refuel 154 miles from the carrier.

A single mission, (designed to be multiplayer as well) , that includes 3 sequential activities in the same mission.
It uses MOOSE framework for its mission programming and it includes:<br />
- 2 complete automated ground control intercept and combat air patrol system ( AI GCI CAP) for Red and Blue<<br />
( meanings that in a range of 150 km those airbase will automatically send a fighter towards each intrusions. )<br />
- all airspace is covered by AWACS on both side ( will respawn in 15 min if destroyed )<br />
- all airbases are protected by S300 and Patriot Sam Systems. ( will repair 1 hour after destruction )<br />
- 1 Aerial tanker to practice because its fun!<br />
- Easy communication<br />

From Al Minhad airbase we will search and destroy for a military transport that is signaled on the west coast. After successfull elimination of the target, we will have to reload and defend from the inevitable retaliation that will occur.

Based on the Iran Campaign template from Jane's F-15, this template tries to replicate the IADS from Jane's F-15, although mostly only in the detailed areas of the Persian Gulf map with SAM sites, AAA-sites, radar sites, Silkworm batteries, and a few ammunition depots, and I added defenses, ammunition depots and a radar base at Jask. Not 100% accurate at the moment, and not every AAA battery and SAM site is replicated.

The troubles in the Caucasus region have intensified over the last few months. So much so that the Stennis task force itself has become subject to attacks.
You are a member of the recently arrived F18C force on board. It is 8.00 am on a misty July morning, wind is calm.You are ready to go and are connected to Cat 4 with engines running.
“Python”, a group of three Hornets are on Cats 1 to 3 and ahead of you in the flight schedule.
Visibility is not great.
You are call sign “Raptor” consisting of a single F18C.
Your mission is to commence a patrol which will take you from the Stennis to the air base Sochi Adler. Apart from supporting any ground troop calls during the patrol you are to land at the air base and retrieve critical documents from a Major Rogers. These you are to bring safely back to the Stennis.
The mission is fully voiced and should take about 70 minutes.

Current real-to-life SAM and EWR sites for Iran and the UAE as well as Iranian Infrastructure I have deemed to be strategically important to Iran.

Daesh has been gaining in strength in the region in a very worrying manner. It is thought an unknown benefactor is providing unheard of military resources and command infrastructure guidance. The Stennis fleet has been brought into the area complete with a contingent of F18C Hornets to contain this threat.
Unbelievably Intel have picked up today that two submarines are being procured for Daesh. Who knows what for? They are currently in harbour, in a known location 50 miles away, but will be submerged within the hour. Although not in accordance with protocol, given the time factor, you have been tasked with leaving immediately to intercept and destroy both submarines. Your single F18C is armed with 4 Mark 83s, Aim7M, Aim120 and Aim9X.
It is understood Daesh are being trained to take part in the use of the subs in a camp deep in land. Military satellites are currently looking for its location. Time is of the essence.
It is early evening and unusually for the region there is some rain in the air. Your Hornet, call sign "Ford", is hooked into Cat 2 and awaiting clearance. Razor, in Cat 1, is ahead in the flight schedule and is about to leave for Khasab. You watch Razor anxiously as you are keen to commence and execute your mission before the evening light fails.

Our Intel have discovered that the opposing forces are manufacturing chemical weapons on an industrial basis. They have located four sites where manufacturing is currently underway. It has been decided to use the element of surprise and attack all four sites in one early morning strike. You have been selected to pilot a single F18C, call sign "Puma", and execute this early morning operation.
You will leave Batumi Air Base at 6.00 am in the morning and attack two targets. You will then traverse the mountains and land at Nalchik Air Base. Here you will refuel and rearm using the same weapons load out. You will then proceed to attack two further targets and finally fence out and land on the Stennis fleet based off the coast.
Your load out consists of Aim9X, Mark83s and one central external fuel tank. You will be supported overhead by Dark Star. As the operation proceeds the element of surprise will reduce. The operation will take about 80 minutes. This mission is fully voiced.
