It is October 31st, 1969. You have been assigned to Helicopter Attack Squadron Light Three, the legendary HA(L)-3 Seawolves, operating from the USS Tarawa (LHA-1). Your role is to bring firepower and support wherever it’s needed—escorting ground and helicopter supply convoys, delivering close air support for swift boat patrols, conducting combat search and rescue operations, flying gunship assaults, and working in close coordination with SEAL teams as they execute critical missions across Saipan and Tinian. This is a demanding theater with no margin for error—every mission flown could mean the difference between success and failure. When the call comes, the Seawolves answer with teeth.

It is November 1st, 1968, and you are stationed at Agana Airfield as part of the 1st Air Cavalry Brigade “Air Cav”. You will be operating the UH-1H “Huey”, the backbone of rotary-wing operations during the Vietnam War. Your in-country taskings include: Combat Assaults inserting rifle platoons into hot Landing Zones (LZs), slick runs for troop lift, extractions under fire, escort duties for convoys and logistics elements, resupply of forward firebases, low-level patrols along contested routes, and Combat Search and Rescue (CSAR) to pull downed aviators out of hostile territory. Expect contested airspace, enemy small arms and AAA fire, and the constant challenge of tight LZs in rough terrain. Maintain discipline, stay on station, and remember: you are the lifeline for the men on the ground.

At 22:15 local time, a coordinated terrorist cell, posing as vendors at the International Defense Exhibition (IDEX) at the Luxor Casino, executed a hostile takeover of a KC-135 moments before it departed McCarran International Airport. A high-ranking U.S. Military Official is onboard and being held hostage on the western taxiway. The terrorists have issued demands and threatened mass civilian casualties at the Hotel Stratosphere if military action is taken. The security detail for the High-Value-Target (HVT) has been neutralized and local law enforcement have fallen back and setup a perimeter.

Your objectives are to Suppress Enemy Air Defense around the airport, eliminate the hostile forces near the KC-135 via Close Air Support, and eliminate any remaining hostile forces in the Area of Operation.

Task Force Hammer (CVN-73 George Washington and LHA-1 Tarawa) is currently escorting civilian vessels as they depart the Persian Gulf from Kuwait.
