A livery for the A-10C based on a real life A-10A livery flown during the Gulf War.
Based at RAF Alconbury in the UK and assigned to King Fahd Airport, KFIA, in Saudi Arabia during the Gulf War.

A-10A #81-0964 was flown by Captain Todd "Shanghai" Sheehy of the 511th TFS, 10th TFW Vultures, in Jan 1991. On February 15th, 1991, during his 27th combat sortie, Captain Sheehy identified an Iraqi Mi-8 "Hip" helicopter and shot it down using the 30mm GAU-8 cannon.

81-0964 was one of only two A-10s to achieve an air-to-air kill in combat. In 2002, it was stationed with the 23rd Fighter Group and painted grey with the shark mouth nose art linking her to the proud history of the 23rd Flying Tigers of WWII.

Today 81-0964 is stationed with the 23 Fighter Group Pope AFB NC where it?s serving as one of the three East Coast Demo aircraft. This aircraft moved to Moody AFB GA. along with the rest of the 23th in 2007.

Thanks to Barry Munden for his help with the history and decals.
