New overhauled and realistic seat for the Apache helicopter
V2 update
Yesterday´s update was not perfect enough in all lighting conditions especially when the sun was shining directly into the cockpit, the pattern of the grey dots and the seams where not perfect enough, the headrest was too dark on the left side and had a small texture glitch on the right upper corner.... I updated that all plus made a new bumpmap for the seat.

Greetings pilots,
You surely want to test out these new ergonomic seats right now.
If you use the DCS internet installer, you will find the zip file with the Apache textures in this location:
E:\DCS World\Mods\aircraft\AH-64D\Cockpit\Textures ---> AH-64D-CPT-TEXTURES.zip
and if you use the Steam version of DCS, you will find the zip file for the greatest helicopter ever programmed the beloved trustworthy Apache (or is that the Hind? Or probably the Black Shark? They are all so good you want all of them!) here:
D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\DCSWorld\Mods\aircraft\AH-64D\Cockpit\Textures ---> AH-64D-CPT-TEXTURES.zip
Please make a backup of this zip file, it is very important to have a backup of AH-64D-CPT-TEXTURES.zip.
I only play singleplayer and therefore I am not sure if these files are blocked when you play multiplayer, so it is crucial to have a tactical backup of the default original file to quickly switch back when encountering any problems.
After making the backup open AH-64D-CPT-TEXTURES.zip with Winrar and just drag and drop the 3 files ah64_pilot_seat.dds, ah64_pilot_seat_all_Normal.dds and ah64_pilot_seat_RoughMet.dds into the rar file. OK overwrite, and save it.
Enjoy your new seats pilots! Very ergonomic and comfortable too.
(Nothing else in the perfect looking cockpit was touched or changed, I just did not like the strange repetative pattern of the seat cloth material.)
Feel free to add this mod to any cockpit overhaul, cockpit repaint or wherever you like, the goal is to get the best the maximum out of our beloved and best flight simulator that was ever made. Just mention my name: JetCat ;D the most legend.... eh worst Tomcat pilot that ever was. Not even with autoland function I will ever be able to land on an aircraft carrier!
