The F-15EX is the latest development of the F-15E Strike Eagle. It features modernized avionics, radar, weapons systems, and new engines packed inside a 20,000 flight hour airframe. Fly-by-wire flight controls enable payloads on stations 1 and 9 (previously unused), allowing the F-15EX to carry up to 12 air to air missiles, though AMBER racks could theoretically increase this to 20.
Version 1.72 uses the new F-15E model from Razbam, which is much closer to how the actual F-15EX appears. The pylons have been re-worked to enable greater variety of stores on the outer wing stations at the expense of the centerline station. I have also added new countermeasure dispensing gear (EPAWSS), and various air to ground weapons (most of these are usable only by the AI, your mileage may vary). It also includes AIM-120D AMRAAM air to air missiles, and loadouts for AIM-260 JATMs as well (you must have the F-22 Enhancement mod installed for this). I have also added the Peregrine compact air to air missile, with similar range and performance to the AIM-120C-7. These can be carried on quadruple racks in place of AMRAAMs, for a theoretical maximum of 36 air to air missiles!
