The true CAS planes are the Kuwaiti F/A-18Cs CHEVY 11 and 12 (or SPRINGFIELD 11 and 12 if you use the Pakistani F-16Cs). You must find targets in a town using your targeting pod. near WPT4, you'll find a Chaparral SAM. Get him first so he doesn't ruin your day. then look around the town to find the Merkava tanks and possibly some infantry, trucks, M113s.
CHEVY 21 (F/A-18C) or SPRINGFIELD 21 (F-16C) have pre-planned targets for their cluster-type JSOW-As. drop 2 of those on WPT4 (Stinger site) and 2 more on WPT5 (coastal M163 Vulcan AAA). Use this plane for your friend who is still learning the sim and hasn't learned the targeting pods yet.
Medium difficulty due to use of targeting pod, laser-guided weapons and fuel management (there is an alternate airfield you can use for emergencies, or rearming and refueling at WPT7). Started out as F/A-18C mission. Can be done as F-16C as well, but it is slightly more challenging with the given loadout. Close air support (CAS) takes time, so limit your use of afterburners.
Mission includes an Egyptian AWACS escorted by Jordanian Mirage F-1s.
