Modified the Syria No Fly Zone that comes with the F-14 Module.  This was one of my favorite quick fly missions so I modified it for 1 to 8 players and added voice-overs and lots of random settings that keeps the mission different each time you play it.

1) Add random generated civilian traffic.
2) Added Clients F-14B x2, F-18C x2, MiG-29 x1, MiG-21 x1
3) Added Random start position for attacking Mig-29s
4) Added 50/50 chance if the MiG-21 will engage you.
5) Added chance of surprise bandits
6) Mission fail for shooting down civilian aircraft
7) Random Victory music
8) If you do not enforce the No Fly Zone, there is a chance that the MiGs will press on and destroy coalition High Value Assets

Lebanese War, 2006.

Lebanese Hezbollah attacked Israeli settlements in the north, which led to a decisive retaliation by Israel and opened the 2006 Lebanese War.
In an effort to help our Ally maintain momentum, the U.S. military is providing Air Superiority above Lebanon in order to enforce a UN sanctioned No Fly Zone.
Mean while, Lebanese Troops are getting backed by Syrian Military Forces. While we cannot attack Syria openly, we also cannot allow them to enter the conflict, which would prevent a quick resolution of the current situation with minimum casualties.

Your squadron is call sign "Springfield" and you are on CAP over the Bekaa Valley, between Kiryat Shmona and Rayak.  To the west is the Lebanon mountain range and the U.S. Carrier Battle Group out at sea.  To the east ......"MUD SPIKE".  The Navy pilots call it "The Devil's Edge".  Anything east of the mountain chain to your right is Syria, and dense with SAM cover like few other regions, especially the area around Damascus.

THE SITUATION REPORT
One of your supporting wingman has just experienced a hydraulic failure and had to divert to Ramat David Air Field to the south.  The Carrier Battle Group is currently to the west but too risky to land it there.  Ten minutes later, two Syrian MiG-29s enter Lebanese airspace from the NE, violating the No Fly Zone.  Despite several warnings they are not responding to our calls.  You guys are on your own for now.

You are cleared weapons hot.  Engage and bring down the incoming MiG-29 Fulcrums!

Tomcats:
Your loadout is 4x AIM-54A-60, 2x AIM-7MH, and 2x AIM-9M.
Your fuel state is around 15,000 lbs.

Hornets:
Your load out is 4x AIM-120C, 2x AGM-88C, AIM-7MH, and 2x AIM-9X, and ATFLIR TGP.
Your fuel state is around 13,000 lbs.

Hornet pilots must also go to the EW page at mission start to set the ECM dispenser from "Standby" to "Semi/Automatic" or "Fully Automatic" in order to drop Chaff / Flares.

Stay clear of the SAMs to the east.  They are short range and old technology but deadly within 20 nautical miles.  Whatever you do, do not fly too far eastward.  Do not engage the SAMs unless it has fired upon your team first.  Then it's fair game.  But only destroy the members of the SAM site that fired at us.  We are not trying to widen the scope of the conflict.

RTB: CVN-75 Harry S. Truman, Tacan 75X, 127.5 AM, BRC 270°
DIVERT: Incirlik Airfield, Turkey (North) or Ramat David Airfield, Israel  (South).

S-3B Arco on station along the western coast from Haifa to Rene Mouawad.  Angels 15,000 Feet.  Tacan 51Y,  Comms 251.000 AM.

Your relief flight will be a pair of F-14s code named Uzi.  They are authorised weapons hot and will be coming in swinging if need be.  If you can, enforce the CAP until your relief arrives on station.

One final note, watch out for civilian air traffic.  There are several nearby airports near the area of operations so be sure of your intended targets.

RED TASK

MiG-29 Player
You are flying directly at the American attackers right off your nose at 30,000 Feet, range 50 nautical miles.  You are with a pair of MiG-29s (AI) who will aid you in your attack.  If you get into trouble, you can retreat eastward under the cover of our fortified SAM defenses.  Good Luck ! ! !
