US Navy has increased Freedom of Navigation (FONOPS) around the South China Sea (SCS) but more importantly the US has taken the unpresented diplomatic step with Taiwan by having the Secretary of Defense (SECDEF) have one-on-one conversations with his counterpart in Taipei. The Chinese are furious and state that the red line was crossed and that there will be repercussions
You are Major Grant "Light" Force, Aircraft Commander (AC) of an inbound MC-130J to Anderson AFB on Guam. Your Co-Pilot (Co) is 1Lt Steve "Ware" Wolf and your Loadmaster is SSgt Kimberly Parker. You're crew is deploying to Guam from the 9th Special Operations Squadron (SOS) from Cannon AFB, NM. The Deployment is to continue Air Force Special Operations Command's (AFSOC) Agile Combat Employment (ACE) within the Pacific theater. You're crew will use Guam as the home base but expect to be forward deploy to various islands throughout your 3 month deployment.
