With Iran's oil production in high gear, it's time to slow it down a bit. You'll depart the USS Truman as a single F/A-18C flight, around 1715 hours, and turn three of their oil derricks into splinters. Then RTB 'Mother' for a night trap. Easy-peasy!
With Iran's oil production in high gear, it's time to slow it down a bit.
Mission goal is to turn all three derricks into a blaze of glory, that even Red Adair can't fix. (legendary oil well firefighter)
Once your payload is dropped, RTB via the waypoints back to 'Mother'.
Your payload is 4, 2000lb JDAMs. Waypoints 3, 4, and 5 should give you the information needed to program the bombs...with one spare. Since this is a night hop, enemy A/C should not be an issue, but there are still SAMs in the area, so a low level flight is recommended. Maximum altitude over the mountains is 3000ft. If you break that ceiling, the mission is scrubbed. So once you reach WPT 1, keep your belly on the deck. Recommend you only gain altitude between 2000-3000ft for dropping bombs. Once you've dropped your ords, get back on the deck until WPT7.
