This mission is designed to allow practice of carrier launch and recovery procedures. Carrier aviation is a demanding environment, requiring constant practice and repetition to acquire and maintain the skills.
The scooter is quite demanding during carrier landing ops. Anticipate that you will be required to make continual small (hopefully small) corrections and power adjustments all the way around, with the workload increasing as you get closer to the ramp. Strive for accuracy and do your best to stay ahead of the airplane.
The Bon Homme Richard seems pretty small compared to the Supercarriers in DCS, but the only part you need is the landing area--the same four wires you're trying to hit on the bigger ships. Call the ball and trap aboard, and earn your Wings of Gold.
