Formed in 1975, the 378th Tactical Fighter Squadron “Blue Dragons” of the Stafford Air National Guard has long balanced tradition with innovation. Originally flying the F-4E Phantom II, the squadron specialized in maritime strike and precision interdiction, a role that became its hallmark. In the early 2000s, the Blue Dragons transitioned to the F-2A, whose advanced radar, electronic warfare systems, and long-range anti-ship capabilities perfectly suited their mission. As one of the few ANG units equipped for maritime strike, the squadron regularly trains with Osean Naval forces, integrating airpower into coastal and fleet defense operations. While their primary task remains anti-ship warfare and precision strike, the 378th also maintains a robust multirole capability, able to switch seamlessly to air defense or close air support. With their trademark discipline and adaptability, the Blue Dragons continue to safeguard Osean waters and skies while standing ready to deploy abroad.
