Most good servers only run clean client an scripts  IC  to stop cheating other ic checks are mostly pointless

you can remove the script in this an it will still work as a clean screen but the symbiology will revert to hard to see green

...makes it easier to see from higher an allows you to control the lantern pod from the pilots seat

This mod contains a semi accurate HUD from Top Gun.

Instructions:
Make a backup file of the original HUD_Elements TGA file.
Next you'll want to put the new HUD_Elements TGA file in the IndicationTextures file.
C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Mods\aircraft\F14\Cockpit\Resources\IndicationTextures

The loud ECS (air conditioning) is realistic, but the F14 tends to be louder than other aircraft so this can be uncomfortable when using comms.

To prevent needing to adjust the volume every time I switch aircraft, I've reduced the volume of just the ECS (and my other mod adjusts the ICS sound effects too).

It's a subtle effect, but more enjoyable for me.

I have been using VoiceAttack in combination with VR for several years now and I can not imagine flying DCS without that!
I like to fly two-seaters much as I enjoy cooperation between crews, but it is not always easy to find an appropriate RIO.
So at some point of time I started to boost the immersion by adding some commands to VoiceAttack to communicate with Jester and bring even more realism to the game.
And because I was asked again and again if I could share the profile with people I decided to put it here for the community to use.

Less FORGE elements

Sadly I have been unable to completely eliminate the annoying solid blocker that comes up sometimes. While this eliminated most FORGE elements that will will still sometimes come up. This seems to be the best that can be done until Heatblur ever gets around to adding options to select what ones show up as that said they would do at some point.

Found the new FORGE elements to just be annoying and with no option to disable it I worked out a way to do it. Thought I would share in case anyone else was annoyed with it as well. I hope this will be made obsolete with an official option for the same function. The new adjustable mirrors still work it is only the FORGE elements that are affected.

I made it OvGME compliant for easy install and uninstall.

Note for those who use multiplayer: This is not IC compliant.
EDIT: New version using textures only to try to overcome IC issue.

INSTALL: To main game folder, NOT saved games (use JSGME/similar so you can reverse changes)
Don't forget to backup first.

VOLUME GREATLY REDUCED ON:
-ICS sound effects (jester menu sound on and off) was way too loud. Not affected by ICS volume

TOTALLY REMOVED:
-Callouts of locking friendlies that are based on aircraft type (always incorrect when flying F14 on red)
-Calling out fast on runway (when Jester falsely thinks its a taxiway)
-Bolter callouts and sink rate callouts (only allow comments AFTER landings)
-AAR comments

NEW VERSION 0.4 from 2024 Jan 24:
-More sink rate callouts removed
-Removed "friendly is down" calls in case of misclassification based on aircraft ype
-Removed "dirt" callouts, distracting with a lot of search radars
-Comments re CO Busting Balls
