South Ossetia and Abkhazia are on the verge of being integrated into the Russian Federation. Georgia has joined NATO despite extreme tensions. A first NATO base was established as quickly as possible: Kutaisi Airbase. You are stationed there as part of the 20th Fighter Wing with your Tigers from the 79th Fighter Squadron. Your mission is to assist in stabilizing the region. This is to be accomplished through patrols and general presence. However, incidents are expected.
You and your wingman are on standby. Things can happen quickly. And so they do. Sirens wail across the base. Eight slow, low-flying objects have been reported. They are entering from the northwest, from the Abkhazia region, and heading straight for Kutaisi. Intel is working at full capacity. What is known is that these are armed aircraft without any insignia.
The orders are clear. Scramble. Intercept and destroy them before they reach Kutaisi.
