VSN F-4B 74 Squadron RAF 16 Pack.
74 Squadron RAF operated the F-4J(UK) Phantom from 1984 to 1991 as a temporary measure to cover a shortage of Phantoms following their deployment to the Falklands, before transitioning to the F-4J(UK) variant and then the Tornado F3. These were refurbished ex-US Navy F-4Js, modified for RAF use, and known for their powerful General Electric J79-10B engines and advanced Westinghouse radar.
