Polish ''FITTERS'' from 40PLMB (1985-2000)
The 40th Fighter Aviation Regiment was formed in 1951 at the airport in Kraków, and from 1953 until its disbandment it was stationed at the airport in Świdwin. 40PLMB received Su-22 aircraft as the second unit in Poland. The regiment was disbanded in 2000, and in its place the 40th Tactical Aviation Squadron and the 39th Tactical Aviation Squadron were established. Currently, the long tradition of the regiment is continued by the 21st Tactical Air Base in Świdwin. Regards, Robsonek :)
