DCS: Supercarrier è la più dettagliata e realistica simulazione mai creata di una portaerei classe Nimitz. Una portaerei di classe Nimitz è una fortezza marina a propulsione nucleare con un equipaggio di oltre 6.000 tra marinai e aviatori. Il ponte di volo angolato con cavi di arresto e quattro catapulte a vapore supportano operazioni aeree fino a 90 velivoli. Lo Yakovlev Yak-52 è un aereo da addestramento tandem biposto con motore radiale che ha servito come addestratore primario per i piloti dell'Unione Sovietica e tante altre nazioni. introdotto nel 1979, lo Yak-52 è stata una scelta molto diffusa tra le forze aeree data la robustezza, maneggevolezza, carrello triciclo e facile manutenzione. Queste stesse caratteristiche hanno fatto sì che negli anni diventasse una scelta popolare nell'ambito dell'acrobazia civile.
Lo Yak-52 è trainato da un singolo motore Vedeneyev M-14P da nove pistoni radiali per 360 hp di potenza. Abbiamo realizzato da zero la simulazione del motore a pistoni radiali creando anche un realistico modello raffreddamento. L'aereo è altamente maneggevole grazie al peso a vuoto di una sola tonnellata e alle grandi superfici di comando. Essendo in grado di tirare oltre 7 G positivi e fino a 5 G negativi, non c'è da meravigliarsi se lo Yak-52 sia diventato molto popolare tra le pattuglie acrobatiche di tutto il mondo.

L’M-2000C è un caccia multiruolo francese di quarta generazione. Fu progettato negli anni ‘70 come caccia leggero e ne sono stati costruiti più di 600. L’M-2000C è un caccia monomotore con ala bassa a delta e senza piani orizzontali di coda. Ha un’eccellente manovrabilità, grazie alla stabilità rilassata e al sistema di controllo del volo fly-by-wire. L’M-2000C dispone di un radar Doppler a impulsi (RDI) multimodale, in grado di tracciare e ingaggiare bersagli oltre il raggio visivo. Il North American F-86F Sabre è stato il miglior caccia occidentale dall'inizio alla metà degli anni '50. Questo caccia a reazione monomotore con ala a freccia fu il più importante aereo occidentale della Guerra di Corea, e si trovò spesso a combattere con i MiG-15 di fabbricazione russa sul famigerato "MiG Alley". Il Focke-Wulf Fw 190 è ampiamente considerato come il miglior aereo da combattimento tedesco della Seconda Guerra Mondiale. La sua comparsa nei cieli sopra la Francia nell'Agosto 1941 fu un autentico shock per gli Alleati, in quanto era chiaramente superiore a qualsiasi altro aereo. Per quasi un anno, l'Fw 190 fu il campione incontrastato della guerra aerea in Europa. L'Fw 190 aveva nella velocità e nelle prestazioni ad alta quota i suoi due grandi punti di forza.
Lo sviluppo di caccia più avanzati da parte degli Alleati portò alla variante Fw 190 D-9, che entrò in servizio nel Settembre 1944. Questa versione aveva un muso più grande che ospitava un motore Junkers Jumo più potente, in grado di erogare 2.100 cavalli grazie al sistema di spinta supplementare MW-50. Il D-9 era progettato per il combattimento aereo ad alta quota ed è un degno avversario del P-51D Mustang.

DCS: Combined Arms ti dà il controllo delle forze terrestri durante la battaglia. Usa la mappa di comando per muovere le forze terrestri, impostare le missioni di fuoco dell'artiglieria e controllare la battaglia a terra. Agisci come Joint Terminal Attack Controller (JTAC) in multiplayer e designa i bersagli per gli aerei da supporto ravvicinato alle truppe a terra pilotati da altri giocatori, oppure guida direttamente i carri armati o la contraerea e ingaggia il nemico.
Puoi giocare a DCS: Combined Arms come un gioco di strategia in tempo reale, un gioco di combattimento terrestre in prima persona o per dirigere la battaglia a terra dall'abitacolo di un velivolo DCS come l'A-10C Warthog, il Ka-50 Black Shark o il P-51D Mustang.
DCS: Combined Arms supporta entrambe le modalità giocatore singolo e multiplayer. In multiplayer, giocatori diversi possono assumere ruoli diversi, come comandanti d'artiglieria, comandanti di mezzi corazzati, piloti, JTAC, etc. DCS: Combined Arms ti consente di avere totale controllo della battaglia, permettendoti inoltre di modificare i ruoli dinamicamente durante la partita.
